The NX 9010

I spent a few hours the past three days at Melody’s place in an attempt to solve a virus infection of her laptop by Worm/Agobot.

The first day, Tuesday, 2 March 2004, was an attempt to clean the virus. But, with no virus tool available and the antivirus refusing to clean it, I finally decide to simply reformat and reinstall the operating system. Hence, made an appointment for the next day.

So the next day, Wednesday, 3 March 2004, I went off to Melody’s place to begin my work on the sexy hp compaq nx9010 laptop.

After a complete reformat and reinstall I finally got back home around 12 pm (whew!) but got an anxious call by her later telling me the virus is back! How?! I simply cannot comprehend!

Anyway, since I had to make a trip the next day, it wasn’t going to be much of a problem.

Thursday, 4 March 2004 and reached Melody’s place a little bit earlier and so had to wait outside until her maid was informed to let me in.

She came soon after and I commenced work on the laptop. Decided to reformat again (why risk?) and then reinstalled WinXP. Installed the antivirus and a firewall. Hopefully, we don’t have anymore virus infections on her laptop again.
If they do, then Mr. AVD would willinging get to work on it.
