It’s been two weeks since I updated my blog. Work timings have been so hectic, that I haven’t had time for a breather.

The whole week went by with sessions and plant visits and contests. But we were all waiting for the BIG weekend, when we would be taken to Lonavala:grin:

17 & 18 July: Lonavala Trip
I have never been on an overnight trip before, and this was much awaited. Awoke by 4am to get ready and met up with my two LnT pals, so we could share a rick. We were well on time, but we only left Powai at 6.30am.

Destination 1: Vashi, where the Navi Mumbai persons were picked up.

Destination 2: Pune, to visit the L&T John Deere factory.
We got there only at 11.30am, because one bus broke down on the way.

We entered the workshop and were served breakfast. then lectured until the tour.

The tour was amazing. The factory and the machines were facinating (though I hardly understood how the tractors were manufactured) after which we had lunch.

Destination 3: Lonavala, where we were taken to MDC. The Management Development Center is a place where L&T Management training is conducted. We were given a short time to get ready for the Valedictory Session, where the Chief Financial Officer of Larsen & Toubro came to address us.

After this we continued the Appreciation session, followed by dinner. Dinner was really good, both V and NV. I wish I could stay there more often.
We concluded the Appreciation session after this and some of the persons put on music and started dancing. Me and my few pals decided to take a walk around MDC.

MDC is a beautiful place, with lush green lawns, and an interesting bridge over a “river”. Interesting because, when you stand at certain portions of the bridge, you can hear water all around you.
Most of us were awake till early morning roaming the area. However, by 5 am, except Kavita and me, everyone else went off to sleep. We sat up chatting the rest of the night.
