26th - 29th July: An assignment
The GM of ASC addressed us and we met quite a few of our bosses on Monday.
We have been put on rotation in ASC. I have been placed in Design (didn’t want to do this, but its the job), and I will spend the next two months here.

I have been given the job of designing a Controller for a DC soft starter. This is going to be DSP based and I need to make a complicated program in C. This is going to be quite of a challenge and I am enjoying it.

I have spent the last few days reading up on this. Began coding today only to be told I need ot use “Code Composer” a software specific of the DSP Teckard, and not Borland C++. Will continue work tomorrow on this.

Also got my first salary. Was giving it to Mom, but she refused.

28th July: A Party!
Being Anne’s birthday, I went over to her place after work for her birthday. Danced a bit and ate a bit. Was much to tired, though I did enjoy myself. Got home at 1am and had to awake by 6am for work. I’m becoming a guest at my house!

This is how life has been over the past two weeks. Hectic and exhausting, expensive (as I pay for bus and food at ASC, besides spending on other stuff), but fun. I still have a long way to go…
