An audit and a party

I was told on Tuesday that the Company Audit would take place on Wednesday. Being our first audit, I was a bit apprehensive on it, especially since I am working on a project in Design.

Come Wednesday morning, my Design Leader (DL) gave me a file for the project and asked me to fill in the details as per the format required!

After a lot of thinking and asking, we decided to declare the project in Preliminary stage and I was able to complete my file by 2pm, just in time for the 2.15pm audit.
I did have to forego my morning coffee break as well as have a hurried lunch.
My boss also informed me that he would call me for the audit.

Fortunately or unfortunately, the audit here in design didnt happen by 6pm, when I left for home and I came to know the next day that the audit did happen and I missed it :grin:

Thursday, August 19 was Marilyn, Clayton and mine combined B’day party. Why on a week day? Because today, 20 August happens to be Parsi New Year, which is a public holiday. Sadly, we being in the Private Sector do not have the luxury of this holiday.

I planned on leaving the party by 11pm. Didn’t expect it to happen and expectedly, it didnt happen. I was able to leave only at 1am and got to bed only by 1.30am.

I was gifted two shirts and a tie. Haven’t tried them on yet. Soon…
Anjali, Amita, Stephanie and Amrita (hopefully I didn’t miss anyone) also gifted me & Clayton body-spray (is this a hint?).
Danced quite a bit, and also attempted to teach Madam D to jive, but then a “bad dancer” can’t be a “good leader”, can he?

On a whole, the party was great fun and I had a great time.

The day at work was even better, because I was given complete details about the application of my project and this has definitely given me a high.

Waking up this morning was really difficult. Surprisingly, I haven’t felt all that sleepy today, though I am a bit zonked. Maybe because of the short discussion we had about the Microsoft seminar on VS.net 2003, which two of my colleagues here in design went for.

Just got back from choir practice and sat to update the blog.

The weekend has come again (which is something we all wait for). Have to give my darling Flame for servicing tomorrow. The plans over the weekend are very sketchy. Let’s see how things turn out…
