It’s been well over a week since I last blogged. The last week has really been so packed that I haven’t had much of a breather.

Began Monday and Tuesday with work as usual. Had the demo coming up on Friday, so spent a good deal of time on it. Stayed back till 6.30pm on Tuesday and so reached for the prayer meeting a little late. Prayer meeting was good as usual. Madam C’s cousin Zenaida was leading it. Announcement for the picnic on Feb 13 was made and I shall be going for it:smile:

Wednesday, 26th January was a holiday on account of India’s Republic Day and so thankfully, I didn’t have to work on that day.

Went out with Madam C in the morning to the Coffee Cafe Day at Carter Road. This has become one of our hangout spots.

We later went off to the Old Fort at Bandstand (which is indeed our favorite hangout spot) for sometime before I dropped her home and met up with Melody.

Went out with Melody in the evening to Sophia’s Auditorium to watch Two 2 Tango.

Two 2 Tango

Two 2 Tango is an evening of four short single act plays. Focusing on man- woman relationships in a very urban setting. These plays seem to address the conflicts, the complexities and the final coming together of the sexes.. ‘cos in the end, it takes Two 2 Tango

Produced by Raell Padamsee and Directed by Vikranth Pawar.
Starring Tanaaz Currim, Vinay Jain, Dilnaz Irani & Digvijay Savant.

Very contemporary, extremely witty and experimental, funny at times, outrageous at others, the plays will make you wonder, “Isn’t this how it all happened to me?”

The play kept us laughing right through and I found a lot of similarity between Melody and the character played by Tanaaz Currim.

Went out to Gondolla’s (I am sure I spelt this wrong) for steak after the play. Got home by 12am and so had little sleep before I was off on Thursday for yet another hectic day at work.

Had to stay back till nearly 8pm on both Thursday and Friday on account of the demo. It went off without a hitch and I could make it a bit late for choir practice on Friday.

Was off to Melody’s place on Saturday morning. Didn’t do any computer work, but went all over Bandra picking up stuff.

Who Moved My Cheese?
Paid a visit to St. Paul’s book centre and picked up Who Moved my Cheese by Dr. Spencer Johnson. Turned out to be a short but good book to read. Doesn’t preach to you at all, but just tells a short story.

Who Moved My Cheese? is a simple parable that reveals profound truths about change. It is an amusing and enlightening story of four characters who live in a “Maze” and look for “Cheese” to nourish them and make them happy.

Two are mice named Sniff and Scurry. And two are “little people” — beings the size of mice who look and act a lot like people. Their names are Hem and Haw.

“Cheese” is a metaphor for what you want to have in life — whether it is a good job, a loving relationship, money, a possession, health, or spiritual peace of mind.

And “The Maze” is where you look for what you want — the organization you work in, or the family or community you live in.

In the story, the characters are faced with unexpected change. Eventually, one of them deals with it successfully, and writes what he has learned from his experience on the maze walls.

When you come to see “The Handwriting on the Wall,” you can discover for yourself how to deal with change, so that you can enjoy less stress and more success (however you define it) in your work and in your life.

Finished the book before the afternoon itself. Met up once again with Madam C.
Went to Lucky’s in Bandra for biryani and Bandstand after that.

Had mass in the evening, after which I went out with James and Melita for Chinese.

Slept nicely on Sunday morning. The net was down the whole morning and afternoon and so I cleaned up my shelf and music on my computer during that time. Didn’t find time to wash the bike, which is very much needed now.

Went for the night show of Page 3 with James, Anjali, Amita, Amrita and few other to Cine Magic.
Page 3 Page 3 is directed by Madhur Bhandarkar and stars Konkona Sen Sharma, Atul Kulkarni, Boman Irani, Bikram Saluja, Tara Sharma, Sandhya Mridul, Rehan Engineer, Upendra Limaye.

The movie was very different from the usual Bollywood mirch masala.

Page3 tells the story of Madhavi (Konkana Sharma), a young newspaper reporter and her friends Gayatri (Tara Sharma), a struggling Bollywood actress and Pearl (Sandhya Mridul) a bold n’ sassy, no-nonsense talking air hostess who wants to marry a rich tycoon.

Madhavi plays a Page 3 reporter who decides to move on to Crime Beat, where she finds out a lot more about the many celebrities with whom she used to brush shoulders at high profile parties.

The other essential characters include Boman Irani who plays the role of a powerful newspaper editor. Atul Kulkarni plays a crime reporter who finds Madhavi’s brand of journalism demeaning. Bikram Saluja plays a Bollywood star and Gayatri’s love interest while Rehaan Engineer plays a gay make-up artist and best friend to Madhavi.

I watch very few Bollywood movies, and I definitely recommend this movie to you movie goers.

Monday, was the big day. I had gotten through to the first round of interviews for the Management Trainee program. The interview was long, over an hour and I was asked questions from anything and everything, ranging from my job to current affairs, sports, computers, finance and what not :-S
It’s wait and watch now for the result.

After a brief stopover at home to pick up my bike, I met up with Madam C (who found me really cute:grin:) in the afternoon and spent little time at Bandstand again.

Went off to bed early and got to work early today. Have to go for the prayer meeting in the evening. Little lighter work pressure today, but new things to research. Enjoying…
