I Love Weekends

Woke up at 4.30am to get ready for the much awaited picnic with the Mt. Carmel’s Prayer Group.
Was there by 6.25am to find (as usual) that very few others had arrived.

The picnic was at a beautiful farmhouse in Panvel. The schedule was well planned. Had a bit of Praise & Worship in the morning before breakfast (amazing Pav Bhaji) followed by lots of games.
The theme being Valentine’s day, we were given cute heart shaped cut-outs for name tags. Was chosen leader of my team (read made a good bakra). And, since may the most cheating team win is the funda, we lost miserably :twisted:

Since, we had no music system, the music was all by the youth band and Mervin. Played a lot of jive music and so was the first to get on the dance floor with Chris. Was she surprised that Mr. Two Left Feet knew how to jive rather well.
She did desert me a little later, but then there never is shortage of dance partners.:mrgreen:

Lunch was rather late. Had chicken curry, salad and rice for lunch and just as I was planning to join the lay ministry as Fr. Byron calls it, I found out that a new dating game for the youth was being organized. Rather a simple game. Each guy is paired up with a girl and he has to take her out for dinner to five resteraunts such that the bill totals up to exactly Rs. 200/-
Rochelle was my partner for the game and after much try I decided that getting exactly Rs. 200 was just not possible, so took the easy way out and gave a generous Rs. 35/- tipops:

Lazed around a bit after this and watched the oldies have their share of games.

The picnic concluded with more praise and worship and then we left for home. Was rather exhausted and just sat and chatted with Chris the entire journey home.

Was back home by 9.30pm and dropped off to bed immediately.
Monday was a sleepy day at work but…
