Holiday!!
Can’t believe I am calling Sunday a holiday from the usual weekend. Well, with a six day work week, that’s what our weekend has become – a much needed holiday:O
Made it for the prayer meeting on Tuesday evening. Left work at 6.30pm because I was on the phone with Sify Customer Care. More details about the crappiest ISP in India in another post.
Anyway, reached Bandra before time.
Trevor continued his talk on God’s love.
Wednesday was the big and important day of the Management Trainee Interview.
The interview was good. Results awaited with hope and prayers that I get through.
Had to collect the forms to apply for my leaving certificate from college.
Met up with Madam C afterwards and went off to Bandstand. Need I say, good fun as usual
I got the news about Saturday full day working on Thursday morning
. Well, that means all my usual Saturday plans are off now. Crappy, but then work is worship :-S
Thursday and Friday were hectic days as I had to finish my verification report for the modules. Got it done on time.
Was too zonked to make it for choir practice on Friday night.
Had made up my mind to go for Bible class on Saturday evening so rushed off after a tiring day at work for the class and thankfully made it on time.
Most of the teachings went bouncer. But, I’m not giving up on this one.
And finally the much awaited holiday!
Woke up early and went for the 9.30am mass. The church was celebrating Woman’s Day and so the church was very well packed. Some lady from another parish was invited to give a talk on it and what was really irritating about it was that she went on and on grumbling against women being put down and men being the “oppressors”. Her examples of the ads today and models being scantily clad were valid but accusing men for it was really stupid.
Well, Fr. Ciprian sure did make a good comment after this. He asked “why do those models (who are women) agree to do commercials, serials and ads like that?”
Since, Anjali and Amita couldn’t really finalize their plans, James and I decide to just go watch a movie ourselves.
Made a quck stopover at Sidharth’s place to exchange some cds and then went off to Movietime in Malad to watch Constantine.

Based on the DC/Vertigo comic book Hellblazer and written by Kevin Brodbin, Mark Bomback and Frank Capello, Constantine tells the story of irreverent supernatural detective John Constantine (Keanu Reeves), who has literally been to hell and back. When Constantine teams up with skeptical policewoman Angela Dodson (Rachel Weisz) to solve the mysterious suicide of her twin sister (also played by Weisz), their investigation takes them through the world of demons and angels that exists just beneath the landscape of contemporary Los Angeles. Caught in a catastrophic series of otherworldy events, the two become inextricably involved and seek to find their own peace at whatever cost.
The movie sure was complicated and so a good deal of concentration was required. The special effects were good especially one scene where he shoots a whole bunch of demons.
Decided to stopover at The Hub which is a new mall opened up in between Jogeshwari (E) and Goregaon (E). Picked up a meal at McDonalds and roamed the mall. Bought a sexy screwdriver with seven heads and magnetic pickup for just Rs.99 at the dollar shop. Also picked up some cleaning agents for my bike.
Will probably make more visits in the future.
Spent the evening at home. Needed a little rest before a long work week ahead.
