I currently am running Coppermine to power my photo album.
Have been considering using Gallery as it seems to be very rich in features.
I love Coppermine as it has been established to be very stable. Love the way I can add albums. But, I find it very less customizable and hence the search for an alternative.
If anybody has feedback on both of these, please comment below.
If you have your own photo albums please post below so that I can check them out.
As for me, I am going to try installing and testing Gallery extensively in case I want to switch ![]()
I have since tested Gallery. Was really awed by its features and its customizability.
But, I have also settled in well with Coppermine so as of now, I shall continue with Coppermine, until maybe the release of Gallery 2.

I am a big fan of gallery. I have been using it for a few years and am very satisfied with it. I am excited about the upcoming release of version 2 as it should provide a better why to customize the look and feel (along with better graphics). Gallery has an endless amount of features including integrations with the various CMS packages out there (Mambo, Nuke, etc). It also has a variety of ways to upload files in to it. The best part is that the development community is top notch and constantly improving the products.
I have yet to use Coppermine and have thought about testing it out, but don’t see a reason to as gallery works good for me. You can visit my gallery at http://www.ryanoff.com and click on the gallery link at the top.
