Awoke early on Saturday morning. Was later than I usually get up but early for a weekend.
Had to meet Madam C by 10.15am and had to make quick stopovers at two banks on my way there.
Had left her to do the planning and she decided on watching Hitch at Fun Republic.
We got there very much on time and so spent a while the Cafe Day on the ground floor of Fun Republic.
I wasn’t feeling very well and needed something in my stomach.
The movie was at Xenon 4. I haven’t been there before, but then again it looks pretty much the same ![]()

While helping his latest client woo the fine lady of his dreams, a professional “date doctor” (Smith) finds game doesn’t quite work on the gossip columnist (Mendes) with whom he’s smitten.
The movie was very enjoyable and great fun. A proper romantic comedy. The acting of most of the actors is worth appreciating. Quite a few romantic and emotional dialogs, things that you would want to tell the woman you love.
Three quotes I loved
:
Albert: You know what it’s like getting up every morning? Feeling hopeless, feeling like the love of your life is waking up with the wrong man. But, at the same time hoping that she still finds happiness, even if it’s never going to be with you.
and
Alex Hitch Hitchens: Because that’s what people do. They leap, and hope to God they can fly, because otherwise. you just drop like a rock, wondering the whole way down, why in the *hell* did I jump? But here I am, Sarah, falling, and the only one that makes me feel like I can fly… is you.
and
Alex Hitch Hitchens: Never lie, steal, cheat or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away.
If you haven’t watched this movie, I suggest you see it ASAP ![]()
After the movie I took her to Delicacies of China, a small Chinese resteraunt in Lokhandwala. By then my health was constantly failing and adding to the cough and slight cold I woke up with on Saturday morning, I now had to worry about a bad stomach.
Didn’t eat much and took a doggy bag. Picked up some anti-acidity tablets on the way and that really helped.
We made our way back to Bandra and spent some quality time at Bandstand. None of our outings is ever complete without the visit to Bandstand ![]()
Went over to my Grandma’s place after dropping Madam C home. Had plans to go back home by night, but my health was failing. The stomach was healed but the cold and cough were increasing :’(
Wasn’t feeling up to it and since I wanted to watch WWE Wrestlemania 21 on Sunday morning as well, I decided to spend the night there.
Yes, I know it is all show, but then again it is good entertainment ![]()
Grandma helped a lot to improve my health and it did to some extent. Rested a good deal both on Saturday as well as Sunday night, catching up with much needed sleep.
But, I still woke up this Monday morning with a heavy nose and head and a horrible cough ![]()
Have been to work today but shall rest for the rest of the day after a visit to the doctor. Don’t know what my status is tomorrow. But, I really need to be at work as I am taking Thursday and Friday off to attend the Emmaus retreat at Vinalaya!
