Signed up for Google Analytics around the time they launched (around Monday) and added the needed code to my website promptly.

Got a message saying that the data was being populated and it would take 24 hours.

So I decided to wait it out and after over 36 hours when nothing seemed to happen, I thought it would be better to delete and readd the site, only to find that this time it couldn’t detect the code.

Writing to support was useless because I got the common reply:

The “Check Status feature is currently not accurate. If you added the code to your pages correctly, then we are collecting data. You can make sure by seeing if your site has set “_utm cookies in your browser.

Anyway, it finally detected the code on my site today when I checked, but their site is down for maintenance right now. Will just have to wait and see.

Update: It’s online now. But I get still get Waiting for data

I guess I am not the only one facing this problem. IO Error complains about the same, so do others.

Had hoped to post a review a long back on it, but well it will have to wait.
