It’s Friday evening. The end of a short week. The week just flew by so quickly I didn’t even realize.
Had practice on Monday, prayer meeting on Tuesday.
It was the first one for the year and began with exposure to the Blessed Sacrament. Adoration was uptil 9pm.
I missed the start because of us now being left at 6.15pm from work. Don’t think I will manage getting there on time anymore!
Had choir practice this evening for mass tomorrow. Had some really yummy cake after that. I really eat a lot!
Must note that I have been reaching home much earlier than expected, inspite of leaving later. Guess it is because of people still on holiday. Just hoping it stays that way!

What is adoration?

Adoration is silent worship in front of the Blessed Sacrament.

quite complex but i think i get the gist. any perpetual adoration in India?

Didn’t get the question. But every church has a small chapel where the Blessed Sacrament is exposed. Anyone can go at any time and sit, pray in front of it.
That’s private adoration.

The practice of adoration began in Avignon, France on September 11, 1226. To celebrate and give thanks for the victory over the Albigensians in the later battles of the Albigensian Crusade, King Louis VII asked that the sacrament be placed on display at the Chapel of the Holy Cross. The overwhelming number of adorers brought the local bishop, Pierre de Corbie, to suggest that the exposition be continued indefinitely.
Since 1885, perpetual adoration has been practised in the Basilica of the Sacré Cœur and various other Catholic churches around the world.
So i was wondering if other Churches includes any in India.

Yup, like I said above. Most churches have the Blessed Sacrament exposed in a Chapel.
Since this is considered to be the body of Christ, it is treated with utmost reverence.
Hence, even it is covered when it is carried from the Chapel to the Altar for exposure in Church.
