Donation #5
A big thanks to Landi Gjoni for a donation of $30.
Below was the note that was left:
Hi Ajay,
I don’t use your plugins, or themes (yet) but they seem cool, and I like the fact that you’re doing it despite not getting many donations.

Ok I am just grumbling! But I am sure a lot of students who gave the Common Entrance Test (CET) for MBA/MMS today would agree.
I know a few who do. Unlike the CAT, the answers in the CET booklet had to be coloured with a BLACK BALL POINT PEN.
This meant that you had no way to correct any mistake that you make. This I know will result in me losing about ten marks
(
Am gonna wait and see how I fair in the results.
Yet another complaint is that my work-ex will give me just 1 mark of 2 out of a total of 240 in the CET.
The paper today was ok. Just feeling a little bad because it was so simple that I feel I screwed up major.
People start praying for me
With his family held for ransom, the head security executive for a global bank is commanded to loot his own business for millions in order to ensure his wife and children’s safety. He then faces the demanding task of thwarting the kidnapper’s grand scheme, which makes him look guilty of embezzlement.
Went to watch Firewall today at Fun Republic. Honestly, inspite of having read a detailed description of the movie I didn’t expect much. However, being a fan of Harrison Ford, I decided to give it a shot.
The storyline isn’t spectacular or out of the ordinary, so that won’t be something you would want to watch the movie for.
What initially interested me was the entire computer security angle. Turned out to be a disappointment as I found the movie to be less on computer security and more of action and drama.
Harrison Ford has been in the movie business for around twenty years (read grown old) and so he fit into the character of Jack Stanfield perfectly. He is well backed by Paul Bettany (who excels in this role) and Virginia Madsen (who plays his wife).
Besides these three, there isn’t much acting by the other characters. Some do play substantial roles but being sidekicks don’t gather much attention to them.
But, I will be honest to point out that the storyline turned out to be really interesting in the second half. Well, it didn’t diverge from the existing theme but Paul’s entire plan makes it interesting and makes you appreciate its ingenuity.
One spectacular scene was the fight in the end. I say spectacular because it didn’t appear artificial as can be seen in a lot of fights in a lot of movies. This was a fight of a civilian fighting back in desperation.
Enough said. Watch it for Harrison Ford. Watch it for Paul Bettany.
My rating: 6/10
404s is something all of us dread. And if you have freshly installed Connections Reloaded you may run into them if you don’t have certain pages created.
Connections Reloaded requires the following pages to be present.
This page is automatically created in a fresh install of WordPress and you won’t need to create it, unless you have deleted it.
This page needs to be created using the Archives Template. While creating the page select Archives from the Page Template: drop down box.
This page needs to be created using the Links Template. While creating the page select Linksfrom the Page Template: drop down box.
This is any normal page with the slug rules. If you don’t want a rules page then find and remove
All comments are subject to the Rules.
in comments.php
Besides the Archive and the Links Template, the theme also includes a page template called Pages with Comments.
You can use this template to create pages which will displays comments, pingbacks and trackbacks as well as the comment form.
If you don’t use this template, any pages you create will not have any provision for comments.
Read more about Page templates in the Codex.
Came across this topic in the Performancing forums, which actually got me counting.
I directly own the following domains:
I’m sure I’m gonna go ahead and buy a few more as and when I need them. Got a few in mind as well. Though this post does make me realize I operate a lot of sites :O
Update: Just added three more to the arsenal.
These are still a work in progress, but this is what I have in mind for them. As you will see the first two don’t point anywhere as of yet, while the last points to the .com
Soon…
Had made this for Clifford Lee and have decided to release it to everyone since it has been highly requested.
You can now download the header for Connections Reloaded in .psd. You will need Photoshop to open the .psd file.
The .psd contains three layers, viz. BG, header and topnav.
header is the image of the car in the tunnel you see above.
topnav is the top navigation bar just above the header.
BG is the rest of the image.
BG has been placed above both, followed by header and topnav.
If you want to change the colour of the top navigation bar, all you need to do fill the topnav layer with the desired colour.
Fill the header layer with whatever colour or image you want. It has to be a minimum of 741×143 pixels in order to fill the rectangular area. Ensure that the image doesn’t go too high up or it will cover the top navigation area.
Note that this psd can be used even if you are using the original Connections theme and would like to customize the header. I have created the psd using the top.jpg file.
