BEST Buses

Had to go into town today to pick up my tickets for Muscat. Haven’t been there much so am rather unfamiliar with the roads. So asked the Li’l White Mouse to come along with me.

Set off in the morning to her place in Worli by bus (the first).

Following her past instructions I ended up walking a good extra 10 minutes! (this wouldn’t be the last walk I would take today).

We decided to take a bus into town. After some walking and a lot of waiting in the hot sun (there was surprisingly not much rain since morning except when I had to get off the bus earlier!)

Caught a bus (the second) and landed up at Mantralaya. The person at Oman Air had given rather vague directions and after walking for nearly half an hour we finally reached Atlanta building only to find that we could have just continued in the same bus we had taken :(

Collected the the tickets in under five minutes (five minutes work and a three hour journey into town). We took one the special buses (the third) to Churchgate station and waited for a bus to Worli.

And… it finally decided to rain… no pour. Thankfully, we found shelter and so didn’t get wet.

Did get the bus finally (the fourth) and we reached Worli rather comfortably. Had a small lunch, hung out a while and then left towards home (bus #5).

Got off with the Li’l White Mouse at Santa Cruz and she made me walk all the way to Santa Cruz (east) station to catch a bus to Vakola (the sixth).

Dropped her home and decided to not make it seven bus rides and just headed home by rick.

And is the story of the six bus rides. Never have I travelled by so many buses in a single day, and definitely not since I started using the bike, which I couldn’t take due to the rains.
