Yesterday at 6.25pm one of the busiest cities in the World came to a total standstill for two minutes.
As the coldwar sirens blared all across Mumbai, millions stopped all conversation, traffic came to a halt and cinemas interrupted films on Tuesday as the Indian city observed a short silence in memory of 182 people killed in last week’s bombings.
They were accompanied by President A.P.J Abdul Kalam as he stood in salute at Mahim station.
But will the terrorists ever be caught? The chances seem grim especially with all our politicians play the blame game that they are so good at!

The city tht never sleeps, the city tht never stops, the city whose pace is faster than any other in the country, the city whose spirits are higher than the Sears, the city of MUMBAI…, STOPPED!!! For TWO whole minutes.
Never in the history of the city had such a thing implemented cllectively and unitedly, but on 19th of July 2006, one of the busiest cities in the world, and the financial capital of the country came to a Standstill.
All Government, Private offices, Hospitals, forget tht even the TRAFFIC had come to a Standstill. This time Mumbai showed its Spirit again, and this time it was the spirit of Unity, and act of Satyagraha was performed at 6.25.
Another way of looking at this entire episode is “Mumbai is Tired”. Mumbai is tired of all that it had been bearing, and bearing after giving so much to the country.
Is there any other way to make the Government realise that we are worth more than wat they are giving us?
Daily the train (i dnt reckon the name of the train right now) stops at Kalyan Station and 100s alight in the hope of coming to Mumbai, the city of their dreams. Mumbai is getting flooded and we are all waiting to watch it explode right infront of our eyes. Could we do something to help our City, this act was one simple way to make everyone know tht the city can hold up, this time for 2 minutes, but if needed even for more and for Good.
We can all complain a lot about wats happening in the city, the roads, the drainage, the population and the list is unending and with Blasts like these its making life even worse. So heres to the Country, WE NEED WAT WE DESERVE.
