This is indeed a must see video for all Americans. Note that this is not meant to be some kind of cross-country hate video. Nor am I striking up a debate. I’m pretty sure the video was doctored for its humour, so take it with a pinch of salt.

While this video truly portrays the people interviewed as complete idiots, it interviews all of, what, twenty people? I’d be curious to know how many people the Australian Broadcast Corporation interviewed to weed it down to the clips they showed. It’s not scientific, nor representative of any people group, just funny. And a way for those outside of America to mock my country.

It’s surprising just how different of a video one can put together, just by editing the order of a bunch of short clips. Though even with that in mind, some responses are pretty funny.
Unforunately, I can see us Americans being that stupid. 🙂
Keep in mind that they probably used the worst examples.
@Dean the video is funny, though the objective must have been to denigrate Americans. The problem is that we people from other parts of the world are educated and we expect much higher standards from Americans. We do not realise that there are knowledgeable and ignorant people everywhere. In my country people in the North think that all Sounth Indians are Madrasis (Madras now Chennai is just a city in the south). We can pick up 1000 people from any country, who would probably give similar answers. American bashing is due to envy.
This video is really funny. Anyway I think the majority of Americans are more stupid.

Ok, as someone who’s been to the US (I’m not American) I can safely say that this video presents a somewhat warped image of this country. There’s people like that all over the world… the only thing that I can’t understand was the old man who said that there were 3 world wars…

But there are also smart people everywhere. Coming from the UK originally I know that a lot of people see American’s as stupid – but I’m living here in the US now and married to an American.
I’m sure you could find similar responses to those in the video anywhere in the world.
Maybe because the USA has such a huge population, it just seems that there are more people like that? 🙂
