Came across TwitterCounter.com a while back and I think the badges out there are really cool. It helps to indicate to your visitors the number of followers you have on Twitter as well as provide an easy way for users to signup for the same.

I contacted the author Boris Veldhuijzen van Zanten, who was extremely helpful in providing all the information I need to release this plugin and for also testing the same on his blogs.

Hence, was born TwitterCounter plugin for WordPress.

The plugin integrates the badges on TwitterCounter.com to display the number of followers you have on Twitter. You can choose among the four available badges.

You have two options of displaying the plugin.

  1. Add <?php do_action('echo_tc'); ?> where you want to display the counter.
  2. If your theme supports widgets, then add the sidebar widget to your theme’s sidebar.
