What happens is that a user can “request deletion”
The comment is moved to the moderation queue and you receive an email (similar to what you would get for moderated comments) asking you to take action.

You can then choose to approve it again, delete or declare it as spam.

There is no ?unapprove? feature.

I’m referring to the three sub-categories for comments that Wordpress has, Spam, Unapproved, and Approved. All that happens when a comment is requested to be deleted is the comment is marked as “Unapproved”. What is suppose to happen?

P.S. Wordpress tells me there is a new version 2.4.0.1 What are the new features in it?

There is no “unapprove” feature. However, you can choose to unapprove a comment after noting which was was asked for deletion

How do I see what they put in for their reason to delete the comment? How do I even see if they requested it to be deleted vs. just being unapproved?
