Anjali came over on Monday morning for a bit of CAT studing, while in the evening I had to go for choir practice. We have been learning a few new hymns and the different parts for some old ones.

Tuesday was uneventful, but Wednesday made up for it.

Now that I am at home, my sleep patterns have changed drastically. I seldom go to sleep before 2am and unfortunately I have to get up before 8am!

Wednesday was no different. We had to go to three banks and so was ready before 10am. Set off first to HDFC bank in the area. I don’t really like the bank policies of HDFC, but I will admit their customer service is a lot better than most banks I have seen.
Have decided to keep my account with them only because of this. Then again… you never know!

Next stop was to Union Bank and then we had a nice long ride to the HSBC in Vile Parle. Being the festival of Ganpati, they had puja in the morning (or so I assume) and so we got modak.

All our bank gallivanting lasted for more than three hours. Reached home mid afternoon and managed to get two hours of sleep before going for mass in the evening for the Novena.

Mass was great . A lot of us turned up and the singing was quite good.

Forgot to mention that I gave my bike for servicing in the afternoon because the engine seems to be heating up. Found out that the back wheel was jammed resulting in extra pressure on the engine. So got the bike serviced and picked it up after mass.

However, I don’t think the problem seems to have been solved because today the engine heated up again. Will have to get him to look into it tomorrow.

Today we once again set off for the Mahim clinic in the morning. Stopped over at my other grandmom‘s place in Khar inthe morning and then we headed off once again back there.

Had to wait for the report (which we didn’t get in the end) and so to kill time we paid a visit to OM in Sunmill Compound in Parel.
Picked up a few good Praise and Worship VCDs and DVDs.

Have finally got down to blogging today.

Began my last week at work before my vacation. Didn’t realize how stressful it would turn out to be.

Met up with the Li’l White Mouse after work. Went for a pizza to a rather noisy Pizza Hut.

Work the next day was just as bad. Need to get two units ready and still wasn’t able to manage the same. Managed one and a half before I left (

Met up with the Li’l White Mouse yet again on Tuesday. This time at McDonalds in Andheri West. It’s been quite a while since I visited that one.

Had to meet Melody a bit later and so left the Li’l White Mouse home. This time the journey was by train (something I haven’t attempted in over a year!)
Dropped her home and ricked it to Vinalaya where I met Melody at and then headed home.

My bad streak at work continued all through Wednesday and Thursday.

Met Anjali on Wednesday evening. Went to Birdy’s and had a disgusting chocolate brownie fizz.

Thursday meant two more days of work, one card to go. Started feeling a bit feverish after lunch, but brushed it off.
Only when I got off the bus in Andheri did I realize that I probably had fever.

A visit to the doctor confirmed a 100F. Hoped to get better by Friday morning so that I could go to work. Unfortunately it just got worse and I woke up with a 102. Called in sick and spent a very agonizing day at home.
the Li’l White Mouse paid the “marize” (patient in Hindi) a visit in the evening. My fever had somewhat subsided by then, but only to be back to 102 on Saturday morning.

Doc prescribed a stronger medicine. By now I was starting to get freaked because I had to fly on Sunday.

Insisted on an injection in the evening. Austin very kindly obliged to take me to the doc and back to save me the walking and exertion.

The fever went down pretty quick after the injection and so had a less troubling flight to Muscat.

It all began before 20th of May when I asked an erstwhile friend to come with me to watch The DaVinci Code. Due to various reasons that deserve a post of its own, the DaVinci code didn’t release as planned on 19th. However, the 20th of date rendezvous stood and we decided to go out for lunch.

After a lot of deliberation the place decided upon was Tunga, a place I haven’t been to since my dad took me there over 10-12 years back. (it has grown a lot since then)

We went to Something Fishy, which is a nice, but expensive joint. Food is good, but we ended up with a huge bill between the two of us :O (my highest to date)

We next headed over to the Dollar Store at The Hub in Jogeshwari. Ended up picking up some chocolates and juices

And the cashier forgot to put a can of shaving cream into my packet, and I forgot to check it. Realized only in the night, so post 9pm saw me riding back there to get the can. Didn’t face any problem as the same guy was there. Next time, I’m going to be more careful!

Spent almost the whole of Sunday at Melody‘s place revamping my oldest site. It’s still not complete and I really hope to get this done by this week.

It was back to work on Monday. The whole week at work was jam packed.

Went for the prayer meeting at Bandra on Tuesday after a long long time! Felt good.
Melody decided to have pani puri at bandstand. It was real fun to see madam munching the pani puri. Here’s a pic I managed to get of her (it is difficult to click a person moving, hence the bad pic)

Met up with Anjali on Wednesday for pizza at the Pizza Hut near my place. It’s been a while… the pizza that is

This weekend began with a presentation to the director of my company and whole of Saturday morning went in that.

Reached home, rested a little while and the went to sing for a wedding mass at 3.30pm (in the hot sun!)

Because of the good time gap between the two masses, we all headed off to The Hub (once again), but this time to McDonalds for some burgers. Ate well

Came back, sang for the 7pm mass and then headed back home immediately.

Sunday was movie day. Caught the early morning show of the DaVinci Code. Didn’t live up to the book, as I had heard.

Met up with the Li’l White Mouse in the evening after a long long time! Went to a beach parallel to Juhu beach. Parked the bike there and had a mini-adventure getting the bike out while going home due to three levels of bikes being parked behind mine.
After a bit of wandering, we went to the Barista in Santa Cruz before dropping her home.

It’s back to work for the past two days. Had two good days at work. Didn’t go for the meeting today because my bike once again giving problem and it had started to drizzle.

Have my CET GD/PI tomorrow. Wish me the best of luck

Being Friday, I don’t have land meat (chicken, mutton, pork, beef) and so we decided to stick to sea food and veg.

Ordered the Sea Food platter, which turned out to be an expensive but tasty proposition (that is what happens when you read the menu wrong!).

Also ordered Malaysian noodles and baby corn & mushroom gravy. It ended up being too much and w were stuffed by the end of it!

Headed back to Andheri, hung out for a while and then went home.

Short, sweet evening.

It’s been a week and once again I haven’t had the time to blog. Last Saturday, the 4th was a rather eventful day. Something that will remain in my memory for a long long time. And I won’t mention why

In the evening had the “Fiesta Night” in church. The legendary band Crimson Rage were called to play. The only reason I went was because I heard that they mainly play ballroom music. They didn’t give me reason to complain.

The music was simply fabulous. Unfortunately only till 10.30. Food was horrid, but then you can’t expect much for 150 bucks, can you?

Took a walk with Anjali (who was my date for the dance) after the dance before saying good night.

Sunday was devoted to the love of my life. Yes, you are right my darling Flame. Had neglected her for quite a while and made sure I made up in full

Got the bike serviced locally (I was totally fed up of Sai Service) and the guy did a fabulous job. Got the bike diesel washed, polished and also got the seat cover changed and laminated (the pic is before I did that).

This took up pretty much the most of the day. Went for the wedding mass in the evening and then went out with Austin, Grenda, Anjali and her cousins and some friends to Bandra. Went to Adi’s near Mt. Carmel’s for kababs. It’s a small joint but good stuff.
Dropped Anjali home after this and went to bed in preparation for a long week ahead.

The long week was long indeed. Couldn’t make it for choir practice or prayer meeting. Took an off on Wednesday, was able to go home early on Thursday and stayed past 8pm on Friday!

Went with Melody to watch Fun with Dick and Jane. Visited the Pizza Hut in Lokhandwala before the movie for a quick pizza. And I finally found someone who eats more pizza than me! :O

Reach home at 2am and was so zonked that I actually thought I would fall asleep on the bike! I-)

Woke up around 8am as usual. Anjali came over in the morning for a while and after she went I fell asleep again. Slept for more than four hours. And finally got down to blog.

No clue on what I will be doing tomorrow. I really need get up and go out !

Began the week with a heavy work schedule. Worked late on 23, 24 and 25 of Jan and as a result missed choir practice and the prayer meeting!

No complains because at the end of it the panel I was working on (along with others) was successfully dispatched on 25th evening.

26th Jan is Republic Day was a much needed holiday. Spent a good part of the morning at home and later in the afternoon met up with Madam C after a long long time!

Headed off to Fun Republic to catch the afternoon show of the movie. Realized how important it is to carry money. Had a close situation at Pizza Hut last time, but this time took the cake.

Bought the tickets using my card as usual. Fun Republic is one expensive theatre!

With less time on our hands, we decided to eat at the food court at Fun. Settled on having a fried rice, a gravy dish and lolipops and so happily walked up to the counter and told him we want this. Next I ask him if he takes a card and he proclaims, “Sorry Sir, only Cash!”
Now, I’m a little worried, because I wasn’t able to withdrawn cash before meeting Madam C. Looked into my wallet to find a measly 80 bucks. Total bill approximately 250.

And Madam C had another 100 bucks on her. Still short of 70. Took a smart decision and chucked all three dishes and asked for just a Triple Schezwan Fried rice. 80 bucks. Well, needed the remaining 90 bucks for popcorn and coke later. Left the theatre with just 10 bucks in my wallet. Headed off with Madam C to Bandra and immediately walked into the first ATM there and withdrew some cash!

Anyway, the movie was good. Had expected it to be the second part of the original I watched a few years back. So was a bit disappointed to find it to be the same with a bit more special effects (?)

Dropped Madam C home and had time to kill so went over to Melody‘s place to do some design work.

After this went to Mt. Carmel’s for the Celebrate Jesus Gospel Concert.

Never go with expectations. I went and was disappointed. It turned out to be mainly Gospel Rock. I’m not a great fan of Gospel Rock and so came away a bit disappointed. Met up with Cloreisha, Andrew and Josemund. Madam C was also there, volunteering as usual and so was all over the place!

Can’t say all of it was bad because I did enjoy quite a few of the songs / hymns being sung. But, I am not going for the follow up concert on 4th. Can say more, but I don’t want to criticise it further.
Did end up going to bed rather late (have to stop this!).

Didn’t work late on 27th. Made it a point to leave by 6.15pm itself, since I knew I would be working on both Saturday and Sunday.

Had to make it to work by 9am on Saturday morning but woke up only at 9.15am! Reached work by 11 and was there till nearly 5pm. My colleague is off to Calcutta on leave and so had to take over what he is doing.
Spent the rest of Saturday at home itself.

Spent Sunday morning on some sitework and then went to work in the afternoon.
Had a fruitful 3.5 hours and work where we squashed quite a few bugs

Left by 6 and after a quick stopover at home went to church for the community get-together.

Anjali was supposed to have been present. Well she was nowhere to be found and only turned up for dinner. Talk about priorities! X(

Anyway, the get-together was fun. Made sure that I volunteered so that I wouldn’t have to participate
Also saw one of the biggest Passing the Parcel games ever with over 100 participants and five parcels :O

This week has been rather tiresome. Have spent almost all of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday squashing bugs that refuse to get squashed!

Managed to find out the problems. Solutions coming soon

Anyway, three weeks is also a long time to remember the minute details of the events so this is just an overview.

So here goes.

12 Jan – Met up with Anjali on the way home from work and we headed for Peninsula for a tandoori dinner.

13 Jan – Watched Wedding Crashers yet again. This time with Melody. My review.

14 Jan – Anjali came over in the morning to get a cd done, which didn’t happen. Had mass as usual in the evening after which had dinner at home and then went to Mocha in Juhu. Haven’t been there before. We sat inside as the outside is smoky as usual (Why do people smoke!?! X(). Ordered Coffee, Country Lemonade and Tiramisu. The first was really really gross :-& ! The second was delicious and the third was OK. The ambiance inside was quite good. But outside was really smoky because of the hookahs. Am pleased we didn’t sit out! Reached home early in the morning.

15 Jan – Went shopping in the evening Actually Anjali had to return a bag, but I grabbed the opportunity to pickup a sexy maroon polo neck and a blue and while pullover. Went to Bombay Blues there itself for a small dinner. Quite a nice joint.

16 Jan – Worked late as usual. Had my project submission to be done in 10 days hence the waiting back.

17 Jan – Visited our local Pizza Hut. What do I say? I love pizza! Their card machine wasn’t working and so had to pay in cash. I needa learn to carry cash around a bit more!

19 Jan – Worked late yet again. Am making this an habit?

20 Jan – 15 Park Avenue. Had heard good reports of this movie and took the opportunity to watch it. Booked tickets for Fame Malad. Reached there well in time. The movie was excellent. Did have a weird ending though, but the acting of the main characters well made up for it. Review coming soon.
Off topic, have to mention that Anjali says that I almost killed her twice on the way. In my defence, she gets scared over 60Kmph and has absolutely no confidence in driving / riding, especially her own!

21 Jan – Met up with the Li’l White Mouse after a long time. The program was to visit the Handloom exhibition in Bandra followed by dinner at Juhu, both part of Celebrate Mumbai Festival. Both didn’t happen, so we decided to visit 5 Spice at Bandra. Found out that we would have to wait for half hour (read atleast an hour!). I hate to wait for food so we just dropped the idea. Next stop was a small place called Wanton. Had to wait there and finally were really pissed off with the entire waiting issue. Ended up eating at Smoking Joe’s. Pizza again! Yum!

22 Jan – Had to go to work, inspite of it being a Sunday. Went in the afternoon and made it to Imax Adlabs immediately after work. Plans were to watch Just Like Heaven with Melody, Delilah and a friend of theirs. This romantic comedy proved money’s worth. One nice sweet movie. Though I did feel a wee bit lonely watching it. My review coming soon.

23, 24 and 25 Jan were work late days. A panel of one of my projects had to be dispatched and so we were involved in that. Was happy as this is one of the first products of ours that I have been involved in

Well, I am still almost a week behind. Hoping I don’t have to do another Two Weeks in a Post again!

As I mentioned earlier, I began Sunday by waking nice and late at 10.30am.

Went over to Melody‘s house to help her mom. She needed some data to be restored to her Sony Ericsson P910i. What I expected to be easy, turned out to be a project in itself!

Strangely the backup and restore software that comes in the cell refused to work! After a lot of research online and a good deal of R&D, I was finally able to restore her contacts list to her new phone.

Left her place around 9.30pm. Plans with Anjali didn’t work out as usual.

Monday turned out to be a pretty normal day. However, both my bosses are back from leave and so there was a lot of reporting to do.

Didn’t go for choir practice yesterday because I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it for the Silver Jubilee mass today.

Met up with Anjali after work. Walked a good deal to buy her organizer (I wonder why she needs one!). Also checked out her new Nokia 6030. No comments.

Went over to Bamboo which is a small joint in Shere-e-Punjab. Not the kindof place I normally visit, but the food turned out to be quite good.

Took the bike to work on Tuesday because I wanted to go for the prayer meeting. Also managed to carry my tiffin box to work, so didn’t have to bother about the crappy food there!

Spent the whole of the day arranging for components and coding. First is needed and the second is fun

Unfortunately wasn’t able to make it for the prayer meeting due to an unexpected surprise. So headed straight home and got down to updating the blog.

Had finished the entry and realized the net had gone. This is getting to be a regular story. Am gonna post a really disgusting review of Exatt soon! X(

Mass was normal. Our church is celebrating the year 2006 as “Year of the Youth and Children”. Father gave a powerful sermon on how the youth today are so misguided. Will agree with him on many points, however I think he generalized a bit too much.

Left with Anjali immediately after communion in order to make it before 12am to Conrads place. We were the first there and it was already a little past 12!

Had made it a point to carry my digital camera and so grabbed the opportunity of being the first and immediately got to taking snaps of the decorations.

We had a good amount of jive before A. Anita served us our food. As usual we had a wide array to choose from and I made it a point to sample everything. The picture below definitely pales in comparison to real thing!

Danced the rest of the morning. Made sure I danced with every girl out there. Being one of the few guys who dances helps
I have moved from the guy who never stepped onto the dance floor to one who is first on the floor. Got a nice pic of Anjali and me while we were still less zonked.

We left by 3.30am (I know early) because Anjali was leaving for Goa with the rest of her family. We did make a quick stopover at one of her pals places before I dropped her back home.

Had a great beginning this new year. Am hoping the rest of the year just gets better

After a really tiring day at work, where we left only at 6.30 and really really very horrible traffic on the way home resulted in me reaching only past 8.30pm. Got ready and left immediately and made it to Santa Cruz in under 25min in heavy traffic!

Had been informed that it would end by 10pm so wasn’t expecting to get much. However, the program took place in the hall upstairs and so was able to continue well past 12am!

Danced quite a bit as usual and played a few games (many of which were senseless). Met up with Anjali’s cousin Andre who is down from Canada.

Have plans to go out in the evening as well. Let’s see if they materialize.

Was so zonked this morning that I just switched off the alarm and went to bed. Mom woke me up around 7.10am and I had to get ready in 15minutes

There has been a major water problem in my area for the past few days. Got reports of a rasta-roko yesterday resulting in temporary supply. However, people are getting rather irritated by the whole deal. Sometimes, I think our municipality sucks!! But isn’t that the case all over X(
