Met up with Lil white mouse both yesterday and today for dinner. Both yesterday and today were quiet days spent at home. I’ve been trying my best to recover all the sleep that I missed for so long.

The problem is that the sleep is constantly disrupted as I need to wake up before 10am as the water goes out here. This water problem is a big pain in the a**.

I met Lil white mouse in the evening at the Subway near my place. My once regular joint has become a once in a few months joint.

We had the “sub of the day” which turned out to be the Chicken Meat ball, which was also the first time that I had this sandwich.

And today, we went off to Dynasty. We were rather disappointed by the food out there today. While the spicy crab meat soup was good, we were left hunting for chicken pieces in the chicken schezwan noodles. Took a rick straight home after this.

Tomorrow I have crab for lunch

After a brief stint in Pune to complete some college activities, I came back to Mumbai last Sunday. The primary purpose besides staying home was for a special purpose.

My parents were invited over to Lil white mouse’s house for lunch. I came down from Pune and went over to her place directly, while my parents came from my home.

The food was well prepared and delicious as usual. Everyone spent a good number of hours chatting about all topics under the sun.

We finally left the place post 6pm and took the 39 home. Got home and got down to work immediately. This is what would dominate the rest of the week.

I spent a good portion of last week working on my plugins. I released updated to Contextual Related Posts and Top 10. I also released a new WordPress Plugin called Add to Footer.

Lastly, I’ve taken over development of the highly popular WP Ajax Edit Comments from Ronald.

The last week wasn’t all coding. I spent a good amount of time with Lil white mouse. We managed to catch Pink Panther 2 and also made two visits to Dynasty, our favorite eating joint. We also dropped in to my Grandmom‘s place on Tuesday. Our original plan was to order from Subway. However, the outlet in Bandra wasn’t running the offer that is being run at the outlet here in Andheri.

So, we dropped the plan of Subway and instead ordered chicken tikka and chicken sheekh kebabs from the local joint opposite National College.

Spent all of yesterday at home on account of Holi and coding a brand new version of Top 10. You should see the release post in a few hours. Remember to deactivate the plugin before upgrading.

Also worked on my report for Research and Reporting. Have a submission in a few days. We’ve just be lazy at finishing this. Who said, we don’t believe in JIT ?

Dad and me plan to visit an Amway meet in the evening. I came to know yesterday that I have 100 persons in my network. Can’t take any credit for it. I do plan on buying more of Amway’s products, simply because they are excellent. I’ll probably make a post about this in the future.

No, I am not talking about the movie, but just the last 20 days of my life; life that has kept me so busy that you haven’t read about any personal updates.

So, here’s a quick round up of the last two weeks of my life.

The week from 19th to 24th of Jan was like any other week of my life. Spent all of it blogging, reading, eating, talking and sleeping.

23rd was the first and last test of this semester. The test was on Strategic Marketing. We were given a choice between a two simple questions and a case on TESCO. IMO, education should be practical and case based to ensure that people actually apply their minds to everything. A healthy mix of theory and practicals is ideal. However, MBA turned out to be primarily a learn by rote, which is something I simply can’t do. Hence, was forced to understand and write exams where results took a hit. No regrets on that, because I put in my best and did well so far

Aditya, Sneha, Namrata and me decided to go out for dinner on 23rd. After much pondering we went to Haka’s on FC Road, Pune. The food sucked completely and totally. Really felt like I was cheated of my money.

Took the early morning Volvo to Mumbai on 24th to spend the long weekend at home. Met up with Lil white mouse on 24th evening for dinner. I had to get the taste of the horrible Chinese food out of my mouth. So, we headed off to our favorite joint Dynasty. As usual the crab meat soup was delicious. We ordered the Seafood platter and it turned out to be sizzling and not dry, though I would have sworn it was dry the last time I ordered that.

Sunday, the 25th was a quiet day. Lil white mouse came over in the evening to spend some time.

26th is the Republic Day of India and so a public holiday. As a result the roads are usually empty and people stick home. This weekend was different because many had left the city for the long weekend.

I went over to Lil white mouse’s place in the afternoon and we then went shopping to Westside, near Opera House as it was the last day of their sale. Following this, we returned home and then to 5 Spice in Bandra. We were seated at the Non-Smoking, Non-Alcoholic sections of the restaurant, which didn’t make a difference, since it was a dry day.

The service here was a lot slower, possibly because the design of the place is such. The however, remains delicious

I initially planned on returning to Pune on 27th, but postponed that to the next day. Spent 27th at home, working almost all day. Took the earliest Volvo I could to find my way back to Pune.

The last few days has been dinner at Tamanna, dinner at Mezza9, a class and presentation for Strategic Marketing. Looking at my mention of that subject you may tend to think I’ve shifted to Marketing. Well, no, I remain a Finance graduate. That is just one subject

I’ve given Techtites a new look yet again. So, will be spending tonight working on that one.

Been tied down all of this week with either gallivanting or working on my technology blog. So, here is a day-by-day summary of the last week or so.

25th December

It’s Christmas day. Because of the Terror Attacks in Mumbai [Photos], almost all places in Mumbai canceled their Christmas dances. Not that I went out a lot, but this time we decided to just have a quiet dinner.

Dinner was at the usual spot, viz. Dynasty. Lil white mouse‘s sister Ruth joined us for dinner.

26th December

I had planned in advance to dedicate this day to technology shopping, which is exactly what I did. Went over to Lil white mouse’s place in the morning and after lunch we took a trip to my vendor in Lamington Road.

Picked up a DVD Writer and a 500GB WD Elements for Lil white mouse, a 6-cell battery for Akshat‘s laptop and pendrives both Akshat and Aditya.

I also bought a Notebook Cooling pad, which is this cute plastic pad with three fans that has been effectively keeping my laptop cool. I do however, need to open the same and dust it properly.

27th December

My dear cousin Seema is down from the US and she decided to drop in to my place. We then headed over to my Grandma‘s place in Bandra. Picked up lunch at the Subway on Linking Road. The sandwiches sure cost a bomb especially when you are looking at two footlongs but they fill you up well. Spent the entire day at my Grandma’s place.

28th December

Sunday, once again. Began it as usual with mass in the morning. Lil white mouse came over in the afternoon to spend some quiet time at home.

29th December

This day Lil white mouse’s parents celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary and I joined them for dinner. We decided to go to Amrut Punjab, but being a Monday, the place was closed. So, instead we decided to go to Gajalee in Phoenix Mills. I have been to the one in Seepz, Andheri several times, but this was my first at Phoenix. And, I was disappointed by the service.

The food was good as usual, but the waiters were totally disorganized and unresponsive and we had to wait a long long time for food. For the prices they charge!

Desert was jack fruit ice cream at Natural Ice Cream.

30th December

Spent the entire day at home and went over to Lil white mouse’s place to fix the DVD writer. We then went to Maroosh in Phoenix Mills. Dinner was kababs and biryani. The food isn’t as good or maybe it doesn’t fit our taste buds. Desert was once again ice cream at Natural which is the shop next door.

31st December

We decided to spend New Year at home, our respective homes i.e. I was also tired with the activities of the previous week. So, on 31st, I decided to unveil the brand new look of Techtites. I have great plans for that blog. In spite of it being on the web for well over two years, it hasn’t really taken off. I’m trying to get new talent to blog for me, but it is always difficult to find good technical writers.

1st January

A new day in the new year. Lil white mouse came over and we ordered pizza from Smokin’ Joes’. I think they have among the best pizzas. Only problem is that they don’t have great offers which makes regular pizza eating expensive!

2nd January

Today. Decided to finally get down and complete this blog post. Plan on spending the rest of the day blogging. May also work on a plugin or two if I have the energy!

So, what have you been upto this New Year?

Had a real good week at work, wherein I completed all my projects and got myself rated too (decently I must say).

And, a good week deserves a good weekend which is what I got.

Lil white mouse asked me to go out for dinner with her and her cousins. I haven’t met any of them except Sanket last week due to his disbelief in Lil white mouse!

So, we trooped off to Caravan Sarai at Waterfield Road, Bandra (W). Caravan Sarai is in the same building of Golden Orchid, which I visited once several years back.

The setting is as the name suggests. The seats are not that comfortable and the tables are relatively low which means people with relatively longer legs have a not so comfortable time sitting!

The service was not up to work. It took a while to serve us, which was still ok. However, what I didn’t like was the grumpiness in taking the order.

Anyway, the food was great, though expensive. It was both tasty and fresh. I like good food, though I do know I won’t be visiting this place too often.

We then went to the Natural’s at Bandra. Had a mango icecream

Met up with Lil white mouse again today. I had to collect my insurance policy for my bike from my agent in Vile Parle (W). He wasn’t at home, so we dropped in at the McDonalds out there. I haven’t been to that place for more than a few years now!

Collected the policy, trooped back home and we later went to Dynasty for crab meat soup, Tsing Hai chicken, chicken pepper garlic and iced tea. Need I say, we ate well?

I begin my last week of internship in less than twelve hours. Will spend this week writing reports and making the presentation. This is definitely going to be one really really long week!

The last two days have been tiring. Having completed the Manufacturing Unit visit on Saturday, I’ve been working furiously to finish of the Field Assigments.

Did have mass on Saturday evening, which was to be the last mass I will attend here for a long time now. Got back home immediately after mass and wrote the movie review. Have been getting them critically analyzed which helps rectify my errors and improve them. Had to rewrite both, the movie and book reviews.

Went off to watch Shrek the Third today. The movie will be releasing on 1st, but Fame Adlabs had a special Paid Preview. The movie did have its funny moments, but failed to live up to the earlier movies. Need I say that I was disappointed.

Lil white mouse and I returned home after the movie to kill some time before dinner. Dinner was Dynasty, to which I have been to after quite a long time. As usual the food was delicious. I dropped Lil white mouse at the busstop and headed home as I had to work on the presentation.

Having completed all the documents, the next step was to make the Powerpoint presentation. Spent a good four hours or so working on this and its 3.10am as of this post.
Gonna hit the bed now. Have to tackle the Accounts assignment tomorrow.

Went out Friday night with a close pal of mine for dinner. After much deliberating we settled on Dynasty in Santa Cruz. I have been there before and loved the food.

Madam refused to have her pic taken, so this is the best I could get!

Being Friday, I don’t have land meat (chicken, mutton, pork, beef) and so we decided to stick to sea food and veg.

Ordered the Sea Food platter, which turned out to be an expensive but tasty proposition (that is what happens when you read the menu wrong!).

Also ordered Malaysian noodles and baby corn & mushroom gravy. It ended up being too much and w were stuffed by the end of it!

Headed back to Andheri, hung out for a while and then went home.

Short, sweet evening.

Went out with Madam C today. Met up with her and first collected our passes for the dance at Bandra Gym. Found out that they actually put in an extra table for us!

After that, we went for lunch to Dynasty. I really like the place as well as the food. Had a really filling lunch and then as planned headed to Shopper’s Stop. I had to pick up a black jeans.

On getting there, found Chicken Little running at Suburbia. So picked up tickets and then went to buy my jeans. Took quite a while for me to finalize on this as the choice for black was rather limited!

The movie was OK. Read my review.

Dropped Madam C off at the parlour before heading back home.
Thought about going for the midnight service but changed the idea. Will go for morning mass tomorrow.

Anjali came over in the evening to pick up some Christmas music from me.

Planning on probably spicing up my blog for Christmas. Don’t expect much, just a few background changes

At long last I went out with Madam C. She has been missing quite a while from this blog, though I did keep sprinkling her name whenever I got the chance

Picked her up in front of Mocha’s around noon and she agreed to go for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. We picked up tickets from Globus for the 2.45pm show and headed off to Dynasty for lunch.

Though we had plans to go there a long long time back, they hadn’t materialized. This time though she insisted and I kindly obliged

The food was good and rather plentiful and I made a mistake of ordering a bit too much.

Got a simply fabulous picture of my beloved.

Doesn’t she look really really gorgeous!?! And am I not the most blessed guy on this planet?

We had some time to kill after lunch so chose to just roam around Globus itself. I need to buy a pair of black jeans but couldn’t find a good fit out there.

Now for the movie. As I have my new trend, Read my review.

Must say that I really should stop watching the series, though I probably won’t !!

The movie ended at 5.30pm and since I had to rush to church for the 6pm mass, I just dropped her home and quickly headed back to reach church in time for mass
Mass was good, so was the singing.

Came home immediately after mass and have spent the rest of the evening at home. My PC is really giving a lot of problems which is getting on my nerves.

And I have a long week ahead!
