The last two weeks have been busy, as usual.

Last week had a Software Project Management class followed by which I caught a Volvo to Mumbai to get away from the weekend long powercuts. Spend time with the special someone.

Came back to Pune and immediately got down to work with my FSA case. Was called away by my director to help restore the contacts on his Nokia N96.

After struggling for a good amount of time with trying to use Nokia Contact Manager to import the CSV file, I realized it was easier to do the transfer via Outlook Express and Nokia Sync. Everything went perfect.

Got back to Financial Statement Analysis yet again which took up the next two days.

Today, attended the first day of the Luxury Marketing symposium today. Well, I won’t be buying any Luxury brands for sure!

There’s yet another day of the symposium left. I also have my summer presentation to be made tomorrow. I’m already all set to go.

In 6 Must Have Symbian S60 Mobile Applications I’ve reviewed six applications that I can’t live without on my Nokia N73.

Dad’s down for another day and when he is down, we usually set out for a father-son-on-a-bike-visiting trip. This time the destination was banks. We visited five banks in the area of Andheri and Vile Parle.

We also managed to grab some vadapav and sugarcane juice, both of which will be eternal favourites for any Mumbaite.

I remembered that I could get my N73 repaired. The joystick button was messed up and so needed to get the entire pad changed. Dad too had lost the tiny cap of the joystick of his N73. Gave my phone for repair and spent a good five hours with an almost zero contact list!

Had to meet up with Melody and Cloreisha at Bandra, but both got cancelled as I could not collect my phone until six. Since plans got cancelled, I visited my grandma at Khar as Dad needed me to pick up some stuff. I still reached Bandra around 7pm. My other grandma wasn’t at home.

Decided to drop in to the Senior-Junior Mumbai meet at Biona. Biona has closed down their big joint and taken up a small place, which was way too small.

Didn’t spend much time there as I had to meet Lil white mouse and Ruth for The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Dinner was just popcorn (a huge tub), samosas and pepsi.

Was so tired Saturday night that I just crashed into bed. Went for mass this morning. Today happens to be my cousin Alisha‘s birthday and so Mom and me made our way to their place for lunch.

Lil white mouse came over in the evening and spent a good portion chatting with the rest of my family. We went out for dinner at the Subway in the area. Dropped her off at the station and got back home. I have to go to work tomorrow. Half of eClerx is on off.

It was coming, coming and it finally has

I am now a proud owner of the Nokia N73.

Had been debating between the N80 and the N73 for a while now. I was inclined towards the N80 at first, but the N73 seemed a much better choice. And I am glad I picked this one up.

I’m stunned at the sleek look and the ease of use of the phone. The 3.2MegaPixel camera is simply fantastic!

For smaller occasions I won’t even need to carry my Olympus or my Handcam anymore!

I also like their handsfree which has the volume control, a much needed feature that Nokia’s usual headsets don’t have :O

As most of you are aware, I quit my job in order to study further.

Began Saturday with a visit to the accounts department at L&T to finish of the settlement. Collected my service certificate

Skipped my class on Saturday (bad boy!) because I had to sell off my two cellphones.

Am planning on buying a N90, N80 or a N93, depending on a lot of factors. What do you suggest?

Went for my AIMCAT on Sunday. This times was a lot better, though I am sure everybody else must have felt the same.

Class was on Numbers. Glad I attended because I learnt stuff I would never have dreamed of!

Went for the 6pm mass.

Woke up nice and late today Had plans on cleaning my PC and the area around it, but that didn’t happen. Did take out the VA books and started studying. I kinda like doing that, though I don’t have much of an option anyway!

I’ve been really irritated these past few days.

Not just one thing in particular but a lot of things combined. For one my net keeps conking off every night. I thought the shift to Exatt would have helped, but seems far from it X-(

Next, I found out that I forgot my bag and tiffin box in the bus on Friday. On Monday found out that people even rob rundown bags and dirty tiffins!
On the brighter side, Mom bought a new four-tier hot case today.

Few other personal reasons, I won’t mention here have been a cause for stress.

Haven’t been keeping too well lately. I guess I need more sleep. As a result, skipped choir practice on Monday and the prayer meeting on Tuesday.

Adding to all this finally my Nokia headset and the speakers on my computer have conked off. I can understand the speakers as they are over five years old.
But the headset is three months! And it isn’t just me who has noticed this. You pay a bomb for a cell phone and get such a crappy headset. Have borrowed the headset that my brother is using and given him a similar new headset which my dad bought me.
Guess Nokia realized their handsfree weren’t selling so decided to make crappy ones?

Thankfully, work has been fun. Begun working on another project as well now, which is taking up a good amount of time.

Now, that I have blown up some steam. There was lot more steam to blow as I thought about this entry on my way home. But, have cooled down a bit.

I finally decided to buy a Nokia 6681 and sell of my Nokia 6230.

Ever since I decided to do so, the phone seems to be evading me.

Set off with Gautam two weeks back to Irla where I got blazingly high prices for the 6681.

Finally narrowed down to two sellers, one in my area and another whom Gautam had sold his 3530 to.

The second chap seems to be giving me a better deal as of now as the first said he won’t be able to buy my cell directly.

Unfortunately, the Nokia 6681 is not available in the market here and so I patiently await the same.

Guess my birthday gift to me is delayed

Work today went on rather fine so no complains about that, but the rest of it was really crappy.

This was mainly because my Nokia 6230 started giving problems! (

The menus have started behaving very weirdly and I guess it is because of it getting wet in the rains that stormed Mumbai last week!

On my way home I’ve given it for repairs.

Been told what I guessed and the software has to be upgraded. Should get it tommorrow.

Anyway, am planning to buy a new phone within the next week. Possibly, Nokia 3230 or Nokia 7650.

However, my tech geek friend Gautam suggests Nokia 6630 or Nokia 6681 or Nokia 6680.
