It’s been a while since I had a pizza, so we ordered two pizzas from PizzaWay, which is where I normally ordered because they are tasty and cheap. This time I was told there was no deal available, but bargained my way into it. Hey! I am a regular customer when I am in town!

Went for morning mass on Sunday. It was a surprise because I normally don’t wake up in time.

Marise wanted to go shopping. I hate shoppping! But, …

Went over to her place in the afternoon. The place to shop: Bandra

Caught a bus back to Bandra. First destination was Hill Road. We roamed along the streets hunting for shoes and clothes for her. Finally zeroed in on two shops an picked up two.

We decided to visit the Reliance Trendz out there, which opened a little over a month back. The deals are amazing. I picked up a tshirt from there from just 199/- which was well worth it. I am surprised they are still giving deals like this despite running at a loss.

The week at work has been good. My work on the first project has been well appreciated so I am happy. My second project which is in the field of Operations has taken off well. It isn’t something I expected, but it helps me learn other processes at eClerx.

There have been a lot of immediate small tasks which come up on and off so the pace of my second project isn’t as good as I hoped. Have to work really fast in the next two weeks to complete it.

Elective selection is going on at SCMHRD. The entire batch is confused about what to select. I’m taking Finance and Operations subjects mainly, however am still not completely clear on which to take. Don’t want to take on too much of a load.

Foreign language also seems to be compulsory. I really wonder how I am going to manage Spanish

Yesterday and today have been quiet days at home. Marise came over yesterday. Grabbed a small lunch and then went over to Lucky’s for dinner. Decided to eat tandoori chicken and kababs. The food and the service wasn’t up to the mark yesterday. Went over to Natural Ice Cream on Hill Road

Woke up well past 10.30am this morning, and have been taking it easy at home today. Have to go for mass in the evening and have decided to head back home instead of wandering about the city

Tomorrow is Monday.

Went for mass at the Sacred Heart Church in Worli on Marise’s invitation. She wanted me to do the reading there, so did just that. Didn’t realize I had a singing session coming as well!

Tried to get rid of the headache with enough sleep and water, but neither worked.

Had to go to R’s place as she had invited all of us over to her place. The ride the Thane was fun, big empty roads. The two crocins before helped for a few hours. Had plans to go to Worli but wasn’t in a position to do so and headed back home.

Two crocins in the evening and a ton of water did end the headache, with just lingering splits all through Monday.

Was perfectly fine on Tuesday. Also completed the project I was working on and have been assigned another.

We received our cheque for our stipend yesterday. Money finally

And today yours truly managed to get a catch in my neck. It sure has been a pain in the neck.
I’m hoping it is good tomorrow.

For starters, we had to get through a barrage of exams, that just didn’t seem to stop. Everyone desperately looked towards March 29th, the last day of the exams, also the day when we could all rush home.

Exams were ok, though they seem to be at some point of my distant past!

Headed to Mumbai on 29th, dropped off my bags, picked up my bike from ABJ, who has been taking good care of it.

Work began on April 7th. I got placed at eClerx. The place turned out to be in Ghatkopar, a part of the city I don’t normally frequent. It turned out that the place is just 20 minutes from my home when I ride through Powai. Also end up skipping most of the traffic.
The place is good. Was given a choice of my project and chose one which turned out to be live in the field of Finance, IT and a bit of Operations. Well, I’m glad.

The first week was spent with reading as my immediate guide was on leave, but the week after that things took off at top speed. Jobs great so far. Doing well I guess. Hope it continues that way for the next five weeks.

Also been spending a good amount of time with Marise atleast on weekends. We watched Transformers (my review) and The Spiderwick Chronicles (my review).

Had plans to catch many more movies, but for some strange reason there is absolutely no good movie running! Isn’t this summer vacation time?

That’s just about everything I have been up to, viz. work and weekends. No holidays, except for May 1, which was treated as another weekend

Had a lot of plans these two months, but have surely been out of touch with a lot. Going to take a while to get back. I’ll be back

Tuesday was the prayer meeting. Made it on time for a change, despite having left from work at 6.30pm.

After praise and worship we had the third in a series of four talks on Inner Healing by Antony Lobo. Missed the first two due to my illness and St. Cecilia’s feast.

Anyway, the talk was superb. Really loved the way he presented how inner healing can be a cause for a lot of our sickness. There will be an inner healing session next Tuesday and am hoping that I can make it.

After the prayer meeting went over with Delilah and Andrew to Melody‘s house for dinner. Well Madam C had to rush home as usual after the meeting

Got back home rather late. During our conversation, Melody got all excited about creating templates for WordPress.

Got back home really late and crashed into bed.

Wednesday at work was relaxed and went out with Anjali on Wednesday evening.

Thursday was yet another relaxed day at work. I guess it feels that way once you setup a working system, have tested and just need to take occasional readings (ofcourse at the same time praying it doesn’t crash! )

Dad came down on Friday. He is going back Monday. But I was surprised!

Spent almost the whole of Friday in a discussion with our client. A nice chap and we have been learning quite a bit from him.

Had choir practice in the evening and made sure I reached there early to learn a new Konkani hymn which we will be singing for the Goan Association feast today. Chatted a bit before going home.

My PC has been giving problems again. Am getting really frustrated when this time my new hard disk suddenly disappears during operation. Problem is across both my OSes. I now have a backup of everything on the HDD. I recommend SyncBackup for your backup work. It’s free, easy to use and very powerful!

Spent whole of Saturday morning and afternoon at home, cleaning my cupboard and my computer.

Am gonna get ready now for the Goan Association. Only clothes have been ironed. Some work remains.

Just have to mention that my Dad bought me I will Sing by Don Moen. Can strike off one item from my Amazon.com wishlist.

Will update tomorrow about the events of this evening (and maybe tommorrow).

Well, this post is to tell you that I am still alive. Spent a good deal of Thursday and Saturday on my feet, with me waiting in office till 8.30pm on Thursday.
Travelling home isn’t really a problem because I catch a rickshaw (actually two) from office to home.

Had choir practice on Friday evening which I made sure I attended.

Saturday was also a well spent day, the story of which I shall dedicate another post to.

Sunday was back again to work!

Was expecting to do so anyway, so I wasn’t really complaining. However, I was expecting to get back home by 6pm.
Unfortunately, as is normal with any electronic system, I faced one problem after an another and we only managed to get the system up and running at 8pm. Did a little bit of testing, found a few bugs and finally called it a day.

Reached home and crashed into bed. Hadn’t gotten much sleep on Saturday night (story in another post).

Monday was a day I once again planned to leave office by 6pm. And by mid-afternoon I was sure I would.

Once again, Murphey showed his ugly face and the system stopped working. Had our full team trying to figure out the problem and we finally got the system up and running by 9pm!!! :O

Once again ricked it home and crashed!
Have gotten the bike to work today and am hoping to make it for the prayer meeting in the evening.

A special lunch was arranged because our clients are down here. Must confess that I ate a good amount of chicken

The past three days at work have been pretty exhausting so both Monday and Tuesday were welcome breaks.

Monday was choir practice, which I finally attended after a long time. Tuesday being St. Cecilia‘s – the Patron Saint of music and choirs – feast, U. Conrad decided to have a special mass followed by dinner at McDonalds at the Hub in Jogeswari.

Our Parish allowed us to celebrate mass at 8pm so that us working folks could make it. So yesterday, we had a small mass with 18 of us choir members plus our Sacristan Allwyn. Mass was celebrated by Fr. Biju.

Managed to take pics of us around the altar and of the altar itself.

After this we headed off to the hub. Took Anjali with me out there. Forgot to mention that I picked her up on my way home from work. She seems to be finally warming up to the concept of bike rides !

Dinner at McDonalds was good (though Anjali disagrees that dinner and McDonalds go together).
Being a weekday, we didn’t have a problem finding parking place.

Was home only by 10.30pm. Dropped Alwynn back at church before going back home.

Well, the reason is because I have been so tied up with work that I have been coming home only to sleep. While I spent almost the full of the last two weeks working late and Saturdays, it got really bad the last two days with me leaving office only at 11.30pm, having dinner out and reaching home at 1.30am.
This ofcourse meant that I was pretty zonked during the day. But work had to continue.

Today I made up my mind to leave early.. er.. on time. Didn’t face problem as our bosses insisted that we all go home on time as we have all been pretty saturated and exhausted.

Well I’m really sleepy now, though I think I may go to my church for the fete that they are having for the next five days.

Well, I’m alive!

However, it was also a bit disappointing as we weren’t able to complete another set. I would hate to let the project skip.

Was going to work late, however we all did a smart thing by leaving for the day and deciding to continue with a fresh mind tomorrow, since we were all very saturated.

Off to bed now.

Monday was a strike by private transport operators and as a result our bus didn’t come in the morning. So went all the way to work by rickshaw with my two colleagues.

Work was great on Monday, though I did have to stay late to finish off some of it. Couldn’t get the trax for Airoli because they were full and so came with Mr. Mudit Goel in his Honda City.

Will comment that he was has quite an impressive personality. He too started work in Larsen and Toubro as a GET nearly 20 years back and stayed on. He currently heads International Marketting, a place I would like to work in if I didn’t love design

Anyway, he dropped me and Vinay off at Hirnandani, Powai and I caught a rick back home. Reached by 9.30pm and quickly had dinner and went to sleep by 11pm.

Tuesday was yet another work late. However, it was rather bad because I spent almost the full day in the shop floor and by the time I was leaving my legs were killing me!

Thankfully, there was the trax available, probably because today being Dussera, everyone rushed home early yesterday.

Caught a rick from Airoli straight back home. Thankfully, my company pays for my travel expenses when I work late.

And today is a lazy day. Woke up by 10am only and got online. Don’t really know what I am going to be doing. Probably do some studing…

Began the week on Monday by putting one full day of work. Went for choir practice in the evening after a long long time and quickly learnt a new Christmas hymn that they were practicing. A nice one called Sun Gleams Bright, which is an Australian carol.

Tuesday was regular, I could have made it for prayer meeting, however wasn’t sure if it would have rained or not and Mumbai roads are pathetic!

The rest of the week just flew buy and I have been rather absorbed in my work. Madam C has been having her exams and so she has been busy as well. However we do begin our days listening to each others voice (it sure makes the day go good). And she calls without fail after her paper to tell me how it was.

Friday was yet another great day at work as things came into place. The code I have been writing has been coming out really well and I had a little polishing to do.

Chose to go to work on Saturday for the first time since I joined L&T to complete my project. Reached work only at 12pm thanks to the disgusting roads of Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.

Planned to work till 5pm, since I had to meet Madam C around 6.15pm. Unfortunately, got stuck up working that I left only past 6pm. Reached Bandra only past 7pm, but got to spend an hour with her (well exams!)
She actually retimed her schedule to find some time for me. (Can I stop praising her? )

It’s bed time now. Am really exhausted and I really need the rest, especially since I know I have a long week ahead from Monday.
