So, am going to make a quick post to tell people that I am still alive and kicking; ok, not kicking…

The past month has been extremely busy with longer days and even longer nights. But, that’s work.

On the personal front, I finally got the chance to catch Inception. This time the theatre we caught it at the Cineworld theatre in O2 Arena.

The break was well enjoyed, though we spent a good time actually getting to the place! We got onto the DLR to head toward Greenwich, only to realise that we had to get to North Greenwich, which is on the Jubilee line. As expected, the Jubilee line was down, but we thought that we’d be able to get a bus to the O2, only to find out that one of the buses that goes to the O2 passes through Greenwich. So, we headed back to the DLR station and headed off to Greenwich. After a good deal of searching and an equal amount of walking, we found the bus stop and I enjoyed my first bus-ride in London.

The O2 arena has been built really well with a host of restaurants, the stadium, games areas, a roller-skating rink and of course, the movie theatre. We bought the tickets and settled in at Nando’s for food. This is one place I haven’t gotten fed up of the food.

The movie was spectacular. I don’t know when I will actually get down to writing a full fledged review of the movie, but the ending was excellent, though I did expect it. The best part of the entire movie was the concept. The special effects were good, especially the last 30 minutes or so.

The best part of the day was the return journey. Because the DLR was down, boat replacements were put in place from the O2 to East India, which we took full advantage of.

That’s one pic above from the London Calling album

Was at work today and this week promises to be as work filled as ever. So, am hoping to see if I can get a post across next week.

the Li’l White Mouse invited me to go for a play by the students of Salvation School, Dadar. Was a bit apprehensive about it but went along on Sunday evening.
The play was held at Andrew’s Auditorium. In one word – “superb” !

The children were really cute. The first play was the “Cobbler and the Elves”, which was followed by “The Lion King”. It followed the same story line as Disney’s, which I haven’t yet watched. The play was long, but sweet and the kids can really act!

Monday, Tuesday and today were rather exhausting days at work. Left at 8pm on Monday after spending almost the whole day down in testing! As a result, couldn’t make it for choir yet again.

Made up my mind to leave on time on Tuesday and managed to do so, but not before spending almost the whole day on my feet. Went for the prayer meeting after work after a long long time and went home immediately after that.

Yesterday was Valentine’s Day and I realized that it can be rather inexpensive and partly depressing when you are single. No complains because being a workday the rest I got was very welcome

Spent almost whole of today as well on my feet, which will break pretty soon if I keep this up! Will however be leaving on time.

Am planning to go straight home and rest.

Had planned to buy my cell this weekend, however it didn’t happen. Metup with Madam C around lunch time. After wandering all over the place we finally settled down to eat at Zaika which is near Stomach.

Food was good and well within budget. We spent some time at Bandstand after this and I dropped her home around 4.30pm.

Went over to Melody‘s house afterwards.

Elvis and Delilah are back and Melody had booked tickets for St. Andrew’s Parish Zonals. I was under the impression that it would only be a serious of plays. However, it turned out to be more.

I was really impressed by the talent of the youngsters especially those on the piano. And when I say youngsters I mean really young.

The plays were moderate and so the instrumentals and the singers were the real show stealers. The plays went on till nearly 11pm. And after this we decided to go to Gondola’s in Pali.

Had plans to go to Mocha’s but couldn’t find place and we got really bored of waiting. Wandered around Bandstand for a while around 1am which is a bit early in the morning, crowded and swept by cops so dropped that idea as well.

So we just dropped Delilah and Elvis home. Got back and Melody realized she hadn’t carried her keys. So waited a while for her folks to get back (thankfully they weren’t too far away) before I made my way home around 1.45am.

What I have completely forgotten to mention so far was me losing my contact lens at Melody’s place. Or so I thought…

I displaced the lens of my left eye and suddenly the world around me was semi-blurred. Caused a good amount of chaos because Elvis, Melody and me were on fours in her house looking for the lens. Adding to this her Mom and Dad also came down to look for it, with her dad armed with a torch. All in vain.

We were getting late for the play and so we set off without the lens. On the way there, I decided to rub my eye and behold I could see. The lens had shifted below my eyelid and so couldn’t even be seen by anyone staring into my eye.

Well, the whole episode ensured a good amount of laughter and a lot of teasing for the rest of the evening!

Before that she woke me up around 8am to say her usual Good Morning

Went to the bank in the morning and met up with Madam C around 2.30pm.

We first went to Pizza Hut in Bandra to find Melody there with her friends :O

After a good meal, we went to Suburbia for the movie. Thankfully we got tickets.

Having seen the rating on IMDB, I wasn’t too sure I would enjoy it. Turned out quite the opposite.

Stealth is hypersonic speed, stealth technology and artificial intelligence all rolled in one and given the form of a fighter jet called EDI nicknamed Tin Man. Eddie is placed on an aircraft carrier in the Pacific to learn combat maneuvers from the human pilots. Unfortunately, the AI takes over and Eddie goes wild. It is now upto the human pilots to reel EDI in.

The tale took a few good twists which is what made it different and interesting. The special effects rock. The movie has many cockpit view scenes and watching the world through the pilot’s eye is really cool.

The acting is moderate, could have been better.

After the movie we went to Biona’s for milkshake and shawrma (not as good as Muscat), but nice.

Dropped Madam C home after this and went home straight. Was really tired and went to bed rather early.

After this, since the net was down, I just lazed around and did a little preparation for my formation course.

Reached well in time for the course. Today was the last day.

After the course I went over to Melody‘s house in order to do the office work that I had to submit by Monday.

After this we went to watch Beauty, Brains and Personality at St. Andrew’s Auditorium

I quote from Mumbai Theatre Guide:

BEAUTY, BRAINS, AND PERSONALITY is an English comedy about three very different modern women and the friendship that they share. Sara, Tanya, and Pia meet for their monthly dinner party …

Pia (Tejaswini Kolhapure) is a smart-looking woman of 30 doing her Ph.D. She is a disciplined woman, a woman supposedly given to feminist causes. In a stereotypical fashion, she is not interested in men or marriage (at least for the time being). She only talks about her books and her career. In short she is just brains, brains and more brains! According to Pia, ‘She doesn
