This site doesn’t use the traditional method of subscription through newsletter, but the rather modern, extremely easy to use subscription using Web Feeds.
So what exactly is a Feed?
Feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest headlines (as well as the story) as soon as its published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from.
In essence, the feeds themselves are just web pages, designed to be read by computers rather than people.
RSS is one such type of Feed, while Atom is the other.
The chief advantage a feed has over traditional email subscription is that your email address doesn’t need to be disclosed.
However, in order to cater to those who still prefer the email option, you can also enter your email address and get the feed emailed to you. You can enter your email address in the box below and click Subscribe Me!
How do I read Feeds?
Feeds are read using a feed reader. You have both online and offline feedreaders. Two of my favorite offline feedreaders are Abilon and Feedreader.
There are numerous online feedreaders today, my favorite being Netvibes, because it is so much more than just a reader. Few others would be Pageflakes and Google Reader.
And if you want more choice, News on Feeds got a huge collection of links to them!
Which feeds can you find here?
As of now I have four feeds on this blog. One is the main blog feed. The second is for my theme Connections Reloaded.
The third is for the WordPress Category on this blog and the fourth is for my Support Forum.
Below is a whole collection of 1-click buttons for subscription to various services.
And if you wish to stick to the traditional mode of subscription a.k.a. email, then you can fill in your email in the corresponding box below.
