Sitting at 1 am on this Sunday morning, writing about my eventful Saturday.

Began the day at 4am, by calling the rick for my dad for his trip to the airport.

Since, we scrapped plans for the movie, I decided to go out with my college pals for the same. We couldn’t get tickets at Fame, Fun or Cinemagic. But we got tickets at Chandan and so decided to go there.

So Abhi and I went to pickup the tickets (he sponsored for the seven of us) and also dropped of my Kinetic at the mechanic in order to get it sold.

The seven of us (Nikhil, Abhimanyu, Sidharth, Vidyasagar, Samiksha and Chaitali and I) went to Amritsar Express to eat a good filling lunch. Followed by this, we went for the movie.

Haven’t mentioned earlier, but the movie is entitled The Day After Tomorrow.

The Day After Tomorrow

An amazing concept with very good special effects. A climatologist (Dennis Quaid) tries to figure out a way to save the world from abrupt global warming as well as get to his young son in New York, which is being taken over by the new ice age.

The filming is amazing. Loved the scene where the Statue of Liberty and then New York city goes under water.
The Day After Tomorrow
The acting is really superior, but the film does tend to get slow and boring at times.
You have just about every natural disaster in the movie, viz. tornadoes, hurricanes, hail storms, earthquake, tidal waves and floods.

Breaking away from the sci-fi theme, the film also touches upon the concept of father-son bonding (which did tend to get a bit boring at times)

Must mention however, that the movie does defy a lot of laws of nature ❓ And two things I didn’t understand, the snow in Delhi (under normal circumstances) and why the movie is called “The Day after Tomorrow”

Anyway, worth watching, and I will most probably be going for the same with my choir pals.

Got back home after the movie and had to rush to church. Met Austin after mass and got him to teach me the bike. He will help me get the bike home when I pick it up on Friday:O
Also got Melody’s call. She’s back from Delhi and had called to invite me for Simone’s birthday:O

So I rushed off there and reached the place by 9.15 pm. Had a great time there as usual. The food was amazing again as usual.
And since I didn’t have the kinetic, they even lent me theirs for my homeward journey. This does mean that I will be dropping it at her place tomorrow after mass to give the kinetic back as well as update their website.

Another great news is, surprisingly, my desktop theme on Shrek won the EzSkins Theme of the Day for 29th May 04

Anyway, what would you do if you knew the world was to end in 24 hours?
