This has been one really hectic week at work.
Had the Open House on Monday, which was a good success.
Had the Prayer Meeting on Tuesday. Praise and Worship was conducted by Jordon and the teaching by Janice.
Just as I was about to leave with Melody on the bike home, we heard a loud scratching noice from it, only to find out that the bike’s back tire was punctured :((
Just imagine just after Melody sat on the back seat
Read the Parable of the Strong Bike and the Feeble Nail.
Have been making my Performance Plan for 2005-2006 and looking at it, I got a lot of performing to do
Got choir practice in the evening after which plans to go out with Melody.
Have a jam packed weekend as well.
And am off to Lonavala for training from Monday to Wednesday.
Life is going good….
Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger has been elected as the Pope – the head of the world’s 1.1 billion Roman Catholics.
Read the full report
Pope Benedict XVI, formerly German Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, has delivered his first, brief address as pontiff from the balcony of St Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Full text follows:
Dear brothers and sisters, after the great Pope, John Paul II, the cardinals have elected me, a simple and humble worker in the Lord’s vineyard.
The fact that the Lord can work and act even with insufficient means consoles me, and above all I entrust myself to your prayers
In the joy of the resurrected Lord, we go on with his help. He is going to help us and Mary will be on our side. Thank you.
Pope Benedict in Depth
There is quite a mixed reaction about the election of Ratzinger as Pope since he is more conservative with uncompromising views.
I got a leaking nose is the bottomline.
The day of yesterday was very useful. Slept a good deal, but my cold and cough are still pretty much there.
Didn’t go for the prayer meeting because of this.
Was really bored and so watched The Forgotten.
A grieving mother, Telly Paretta, is struggling to cope with the loss of her 9-year-old son. She is stunned when her psychiatrist and her husband tell her that she has created eight years of memories of a son she never had. But when she meets the father of one of her son’s friend who is having the same experience, Telly embarks on a mission to prove her son’s existence and her sanity.
Surprisingly, it turned out to be a kinda sci-fi flick. Was a very slow movie and had a good ending, if you had the patience to reach it.
Won’t recommend this to the general public. But, if you are game for slow movies and like sci-fi, then it is a good movie to catch.
Will hit the bed now as it’s back to work tomorrow morning. Am going for the Emmaus retreat on Thursday, so last day of work tomorrow
Adobe is buying Macromedia for $3.4billion :O
Here is the actual details from Adobe’s site.
What Adobe buying Macromedia *could* mean for VoIP by ZDNet‘s Russell Shaw
As we report today, desktop publisher Adobe Systems is buying multimedia platforms and software developer Macromedia for $3.4 billion. I believe this combination could have interesting potential for the development of VoIP applications.
“Why,” you ask.
Well, I am thinking about Macromedia Breeze, an online meetings tool that offers VoIP audio and video broadcast options. Now what if Breeze were […]
So, what does this mean to us?
Probably monopoly, a single suite to handle your graphics and web work, hiked prices, better products.
In short lots of pros and cons.
I guess it is pretty much wait and watch.
That’s what it has come to.
Visited the doctor on my way home from work. Been to a new doctor this time and she seemed good.
Not many medicines and took two days meds as I want to go for the prayer meeting in the evening.
But, woke up this morning and found my head spinning, so decided it is better to take the day off.
My cold has gotten worse but the cough has improved.
So, here I am at home. I desperately need some rest so am going to make the most of today.
