Blogger, not booger i.e.
Being a thorough techie I’m always on the lookout for technology news and updates. Am constantly searching for some good freeware to try out. But to keep myself up-to-date required me to daily go through almost a hundred websites (and steadily increasing). This inspired me to start a blog that will get the choicest of technology news all in one central location. Hence, 30th October 2006 saw the launch of my technology blog titled Techtites. Why Techtites? Since the central theme of the blog is technology, for the purpose of SEO I wanted the domain to contain the word “tech”. Unfortunately, almost every technology name I could think of was…

I’ve been receiving a few reports lately about users having problem while writing comments on this blog. These problems have been of two kind. First being your comments landing in the spam bin. I am not sure why this has been happening. Also, it has been rare. I’ve been going through the Spam comments anyway to check if any genuine comment has landed in there. In case your comment does land up in the spam bin please do write to me and inform me of the same. The second problem has been a “zero data received” or a “cannot find server” or similar error whenever you try to submit a…

The first thing that you do when you get up in the morning (even before putting your socks on and making the coffee) is to see if there are any new comments since you last checked your blog the night before.
Now this doesn’t happen too often, so have saved a screenshot. Get your SiteScore »
Had two completely antithetical days yesterday and today (actually, that would be day before and yesterday, given the time of this post). Awoke early Sunday morning and went for the 8.30am mass for which we were singing. I haven’t awoken at 7.30am since a long long time and as a result I ended up feeling extremely drowsy during mass and a good portion of the morning after that. Would normally have hit the bed for a while, but
Update: STC is now active on the blog. There has been a few improments in the code since I last used it. Just one point I noticed is that the code for the “Subscribe without Commenting” form is not XHTML 1.1 complaint. For that you need to add <fieldset style="border:none"> after the opening form tag and a </fieldset> before the closing form tag. —————————— Thilak suggested that I get hold of the Subscribe to Comments plugin. But, I am reluctant because of only one reason. I had the plugin running on this blog a few months back for a good deal of time. However, I realized that I was getting…
If you have been using Google Reader, you would have noticed that it doesn’t work with Opera as of now. However, there is a fix available for the same which is very easy to apply. Get hold of reader.js and save it to some location on your PC, e.g. C:Program FilesOperaprofilecache4 In Opera, visit http://www.google.com/reader/ and then right click in the page your Google Reader page, click Edit site preferences Go to Scripting and see the box for choosing a file there? type the path to reader.js that you got in Step 1. i.e. C:Program FilesOperaprofilecache4reader.js in our example. Refresh the page. Source: YesWhyYen and Tech-Buzz
