Foof!!!

Checked out my site and found it missing. Came to know that the server on which my blog is being hosted was being changed and for some reason during the importing the mySQL databases disappeared 🙁

Decided to move my blog under my reseller account and succeed in getting the latest mySQL backup somehow.

Was shocked to find that even though phpMyAdmin versions were same, there were mySQL errors while importing the database.

With the help of Chris, an admin at AS-Hosting, I was able to import the database.
But, it was a time consuming task as I had to create the twelve tables individually.

Anyway, I am up and running again.

One lesson learnt: Always backup regularly!

  1. I hate moving sites from server to server… always something is wrong and doesn’t work, especialy databases…

  2. I know. So do I.
But, this is the first time ever that I had a problem.

All my other movings have been very smooth.

Well, I’m glad as of now everything is running fine 🙂
