Today was a really great day. I took Nandita out for a movie followed by pizzas. I am sure she had a great time.
Nandita happens to be the daughter of my mom’s good friend. They migrated to New Zealand in 2001 and Nandita is down here with her brother Santosh for holidays after 3 years. I asked her out yesterday and she said despite being totally surprised that “I” could ask someone out.
We went off to watch Love Actually at Fame Adlabs. It is a beautiful movie displaying how beautiful love actually is. Love actually is all around us. It starred Hugh Grant, who I think is such a fantastic actor and so I went for the movie inspite of not knowing anything about it! Not only did it detect the love between husband & wife, boyfriend & girlfriend, but also between parents and children, between friends and between brother and sister. Based around Christmas time in England, the movie is a must watch. I really loved this movie, though there was a deep lingering feeling of sadness, seeing so much love and maybe not really experiencing it 😐
A few beautiful quotes from the movie:
Sam: The only thing about romance is that people only get together right at the very end.
Daniel: Tell her that you love her. You’ve got nothing to lose, and you’ll always regret it if you don’t.
Billy Mack: Christmas is the time to be with the people you love.
You can read them all here.
Well… after the movie, we went off to Pizza Hut at Lokhandwala. Ate the stuffed crust one. yummy 🙂
Next took her to Silver Beach.
It was great speaking to Nandita. You get to learn a lot when you speak to people who have been to other countries. Learning about the new cultures. It was also surprising to see how much Nandita has changed after going there. I didn’t know her very well when she was here, but knew enough of her.
Drove her back home and came home myself.
The rest of the day was eventful, except that I skidded on water in my house, kncoked the stool down, hit my leg badly on it and dropped a big utensil on my head 👿 The things people do :O
