The Financial Christmas Carol

Considering the “cheery” spirit this year, top financial consultants have composed a new Christmas carol below.

To be sung to the tune of “Santa Claus is coming to Town”

You’d better watch out
You’d better not cry
You’d better keep cash
I’m telling you why:
Recession is coming to town.

It’s hitting you once,
It’s hitting you twice
It doesn’t care if you’ve been careful and wise
Recession is coming to town

It’s worthless if you’ve got shares
It’s worthless if you’ve got bonds
It’s safe when you’ve got cash in hand
So keep cash for goodness sake, HEY

You’d better watch out
You’d better not cry
You’d better keep cash
I’m telling you why:
Recession is coming to town!

Finance products are confusing
Finance products are so vague
The banks make you bear the cost of risk
So keep out for goodness sake, OH

You’d better watch out
You’d better not cry
You’d better keep cash
I’m telling you why:
Recession is coming to town.

  1. Rumor has it that Santa will be sitting by the Whitehouse tree. Corporate CEO’s are invited to sit on Santa’s lap and ask how much bailout money they would like for Christmas!

If you are someone that lost your job, home, or have not eaten in days, there will be a separate line to receive one chunk of coal.

That’s a nice song. With all this Christmas cheer, I am sure people will make very similar New year’s resolutions. And that would be to never ever ever elect another incompetent President like George W. Bush!

    Happy Holidays! ~ Bill

  2. Great lyrics. Hopefully, someone will set it to music and post the video on YouTUbe. Not me, my singing sounds more like cats fighting. =)
