I have been pondering over adding an admin menu to Connections Reloaded for quite a while now.
Stumbled upon WordPress Theme Toolkit today, and it seems really cool to add to the theme.
Will probably save a lot of my time to use it as opposed to designing from scratch. Will see how this works out.

I’m working on Connections Reloaded, slowly but steadly. You may have seen the roadmap, so I guess I may add the theme toolkit or similar as one of the “flavours” that CR will be available.
