    Add to All v1.5.0

I’ve released v1.5.0 of Add to All WordPress plugin. This version brings some much asked settings to control the display of content on posts and pages. As usual existing users can update the plugin from your WordPress dashboard. New users can add the plugin from the Plugins page. Post only views You can find a new set of options under the Content tab. These look identical as the Single posts views and are available for posts (screenshot below) and pages. Whatever you enter here will only be displayed when viewing a post (or page for that set of options). What’s next? In the next version of the plugin, I’d like…

    AutoClose v2.0.0

I’ve released a major update to Auto-Close Comments, Pingbacks and Trackbacks a.k.a AutoClose v2.0.0. The last update to this plugin was in 2015 and this has continued to work with the newer versions of WordPress. Autoclose is an easy to use WordPress plugin that allows you to automatically close comments, pingbacks and trackbacks on your posts. You also have some buttons that let you delete post revisions, delete pingbacks and trackbacks. I was cleaning up broken links on Techtites and realised most of these were pingbacks and trackbacks. I wanted an easy way to just delete them all! Hence, AutoClose v2.0.0. You’ll need to reactivate the plugin The plugin file…

    Migrated to The SEO Framework

I’ve been running Yoast SEO on this site for a very long time. It is a feature rich and powerful plugin and has been one of the first I’ve installed on all my blogs. Besides allowing me to configure the SEO settings, one feature I enjoyed is the readability analysis. But, over the years, the plugin has it has also grown in size and included ads and notifications. I have generally not minded these and understand the need to monetize. However, when you delete a post or almost anything else, the plugin displays an annoying notification. It prompts you to install the premium version of Yoast SEO to redirect the…

    WordPress plugin updates – Jan/Feb 2019

Over the Christmas break, I spent quite a bit of time rationalising my WordPress plugins including closing several plugins which I decided I won’t be updating, especially those with very lower viewers. I’m hoping to be a bit more regular in updating my WordPress plugins this year and also fleshing out a much pending documentation for all of them. I’ve managed to be fairly active on the updates and I updated four plugins since the start of the year. All these have had their respective release posts on the WebberZone blog. If you’re here for just my plugin updates, I recommend subscribing to the newsletter there. Better Search I released…

Where did they go from here rebrand and v2.2.0 update

I’ve released v2.2.0 of Where did they go from here. This update comes with new features, bug fixes and, most importantly, a rebrand of the plugin. Starting v2.2.0, the plugin is called WebberZone Followed Posts and has a new home. This completes the transfer of yet another of my plugins under the WebberZone umbrella. The rebrand of this plugin has been on my todo list for a long time. Although Where did they go from here was an accurate representation of what the plugin did, what it really did was display a list of posts that visitors follow on your site. My hope is that with the new name, the…

    Contextual Related Posts v2.5.0

I’ve just released Contextual Related Posts v2.5.0 and existing users can update the plugin as usual from within their WordPress install. This release adds a few minor features as well as a few bug fixes that were reported by users. Disable on AMP pages and mobile devices One feature requested by a lot of users is to disable the related posts display on mobile devices and AMP pages. With the inbuilt cache, the display of the related posts is super fast. However, you do need to write some custom styles in order to make the display work on both mobile and AMP pages particularly because of the screen size. As a…
