    House Hunting Weekend in Bangalore

Even before I came down to Bangalore, I was warned and scared into understanding that finding a house in Bangalore is one of the toughest things I could encounter. So, as I landed in Bangalore, I made all the necessary plans to begin the house hunt from last Tuesday itself, but work doesn?t allow us the luxury of the same. Hence, the entire house hunting experience was postponed to Saturday and three of us contacted brokers and owners and hunted all through Koramangala. Aditya came down from Mysore and met up with me in the evening as he joined me in hunting a place in 4th Block and 7th Block.…

    Off to Bengaluru

If you?re reading this post, I?m already on the plane or maybe even in Bangalore. If you?ve been following this blog for a while, you?d know that I got placed through my college last November. As required by the job, I have to relocate to the city of Bangalore and the time has finally come for it. This is in fact the first time I?ve ventured out of the safety of Mumbai into the unknown. Two years back when I set out to do my MBA in SCMHRD, Pune, I knew that I had everything planned and fixed with no need to worry about food, clothing or shelter. This time,…

A Week went by with some New Lookers

What better way for a blogger and a developer to pass his time than to blog and develop 🙂 That’s exactly what I have been up to this past week or so. New Plugins So, the past week has seen a new plugin added to my already growing list of plugins. Over, the next week I intend to continue work on the plugins. I plan on scrapping a few ones which have long since served their purpose as well as reworking others. The latest ones could also do with many feature additions. So stay tuned for a few releases 🙂 New look for Techtites I’ve also been working on a…

An Anniversary, a Birthday and a Journey

After a quiet two days at home, I finally ventured out on Sunday evening for mass. I?ve realized that I can spend days at home without evening stepping outside and not even think twice about it. Pizzas always get delivered, don?t they? 😉 Anyway, Sunday the 4th also marked the 28th Wedding Anniversary of my parents and since Dad isn?t here I decided to take Mom out for dinner. However, she chose to order home and so be it. Dinner was Chicken Manchurian, Prawns Masala and Chicken Fried rice. We tried a smaller new restaurant near my place instead of the regular one I ordered. While the chicken was good,…

A Week in Pune and it’s Mumbai again

After a good long party, I went off to watch The Day the Earth stood Still on Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday were relatively lighter days. Went off to McDonalds for dinner on Thursday. Was so exhausted, that I just crashed after coming back. Friday was lecture day with me attending a Strategic Marketing class. The strategic marketing class so far has been filled with cases which makes studying a pleasure. I hate subjects that require us to learn by rote and vomit it out at the exam. While theory is necessary, it is important that there are a good number of cases. The internet connection at college has been as…

    Room 103 – All Placed!

Those of you following me on Twitter would have seen a status message that read: Room 103 is the first room in college to get placed. Akshat and me were place by November 25 and late last Thursday night, we got the good news that Aditya too was placed. In fact he’s got an excellent job with one of the highest salaries in campus 🙂 And, we are a hungry group. So, we booked a cab on Friday night and headed out to Stone Water Grill in Koregoan Park. This was recommended to us by a friend and it was a first visit to the place. Turned out to be…

    Performance Reports

    1. Since my last report, this employee has reached rock bottom and has started to dig. 2. His men would follow him anywhere, but only out of morbid curiosity. 3. I would not allow this employee to breed. 4. This associate is really not so much of a has-been, but more of a definitely won’t be. 5. Works well when under constant supervision and cornered like a rat in a trap. 6. When she opens her mouth, it seems that this is only to change whichever foot was previously in there. 7. He would be out of his depth in a parking lot puddle. 8. This young lady has delusions…

    Life Updates as Promised

I haven’t had much time to get down to blogging what I have been upto in the past month. Having celebrated my birthday in Mumbai, I headed back to Pune to get on with life. Had originally planned to come back to Mumbai on Thursday itself for Placements work. However, a thought improvement workshop interrupted these plans. The workshop was conducted by CGN. The workshop is actually a program by The Pacific Institute. I had originally planned on going into details for the same, but I guess most of the same is copyrighted and it would not be correct. In brief, the workshop covers topics like scotomas, Reticular Activating System,…

    Two Months in a Post

Can’t believe my last personal post was on March 4th.. Then we were just getting into the exam spirit and a lot has happened since then. For starters, we had to get through a barrage of exams, that just didn’t seem to stop. Everyone desperately looked towards March 29th, the last day of the exams, also the day when we could all rush home. Exams were ok, though they seem to be at some point of my distant past! 🙂 Headed to Mumbai on 29th, dropped off my bags, picked up my bike from ABJ, who has been taking good care of it. Work began on April 7th. I got…
