Finally…

My Sify connection was installed yesterday! Got back home rather late because we had choir practice followed by a small dinner party at U. Conrad‘s place itself on the occasion of St. Cecelia‘s feast.

So got back home after that and tested out the connection. Two main plus points are the much decent speeds (got around 6-8KBps) and faster WAN speeds. Major negative points are the lack of redial facility of their dialer, the forcable install of some version of McAfee Antivirus (which I need to figure out).
Anyway, I got Connection Keep Alive software running and also an automation software in case of disconnection. System under test to see what approach I should use best.
